CBJ has a potential franchise RHD and Buffalo has an overager who took quite a while to blossom up to 2C levels, yet CBJ is paying a higher pick.........

Jiricek's ceiling is throught the roof. CBJ says no, and surely wouldn't trade down in the process.

Take out the Jackets first and its still a no. With that pick they could only dream of being able to draft a guy like Jiricek again.

The Jackets just don't have any business being involved in trades to improve their team now. Jiricek and a top 5 pick will do far more for their competitive window 3-6 years down the line than Mittelstadt ever could. The guys that should be on the block for them are pretty much anyone 24 or older.

at bare minimum the CBJ would be the one getting draft capital not the other way around but overall this would just never happen. Jiricek's ceiling is way higher
