VAN
    Rights to Sam Reinhart

Florida's cap situation redefines the term "Cap Hell", they have $24M and have 2 NHL dmen signed next season, they can't afford to keep Reinhart. VAN deals for his rights so he can sign for 8 years with his hometown team and the team his dad played for.
FLA brings in Mikheyev who's a quality Middle 6 winger who's on a good contract for the next 2 years.
    FLA
    1. Mikheyev, Ilya
    2. 2024 4th round pick (NJD)
    Additional Details:
    *At 2024 Draft
    2.
    VAN
    1. Jiricek, David
    2. Johnson, Kent [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Johnson is a player who could use a fresh start and with CBJ in purgatory and Jiricek still not getting playing time he asks for a move.
Deal basically works out to Podkolzin & a 2nd for Johnson and Brzustewicz, Raty & a 1st for Jiricek
    CBJ
    1. Brzustewicz, Hunter [Reserve List]
    2. Podkolzin, Vasily [RFA Rights]
    3. Räty, Aatu
    4. 2025 1st round pick (VAN)
    5. 2026 2nd round pick (VAN)
    Additional Details:
Trade happens on Day 2 of the 2024 Draft
    3.
    VAN
    1. 2024 2nd round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
    *2024 Draft
    PIT
    1. Kuzmenko, Andrei
    Additional Details:
PIT deals Guentzel at 2024 TDL so they bring in Kuzmenko to replace him at the draft, playing with Crosby will get him back in form

We can dream... I would love to see Reinhart with the Canucks though (I wanted them to trade the 9th OA pick they sent to Arizona in the OEL deal to Buffalo for him when he apparently wanted to come back to Vancouver)

Better offer than most on here for Byram so I'll give you credit for that. Still don't see the Avs doing it though as nothing come back there that helps them now, and that's the only way I see BB getting traded.

Columbus politely thanks you for your interest, fakes a meeting to get off the phone, then does not call you back.

Panthers won’t take on another contract. Especially not an expensive winger they dont really need. Like you said they have 2 dman signed plus having to resign vergs and Bennett the next season.and Columbus hangs up. Maybe for jirrocek but Johnson is a whole
      Another haul

At a 9x8 Florida resigns Reinhart themselves. If he wants more than Tkachuk and Barkov we should value Montour over him but at that deal he should be prioritized.

That CBJ conversation goes something like this.
GMPA: Jarmo got a trade for you says above.
GMJBB: OK , Patrick what did you really call about?
      GMPA: Seriously that's my offer.
GMJK: Have a nice day and blocks Allvin s number.

Fla is a no, COL is a no, CBJ is a no. Contenders don’t make in season trades that make them worse, and the value just isn’t there for CBJ.

laugh How many times do we need to make it clear? That trading for a players rights doesn't give you the 8th year, In order to get the 8th year said player has to be dealt at the trade deadline and obviously Florida isn't doing that. And oh FYI Sam Reinhart is more than likely coming in around $10,000,000 to $10,500,000 since he's on pace for 104 points this season.

Which jacket is this trade for? Cuz it may land you one of them if they pull a Dubois or a Jeff carter. Definitely not even close to both.

You're crazy if you wouldn't tradr Byram for a suitcase who's passed through waivers a few times and is more of an ahl player.

Pittsburgh wants a draft pick and a prospect not Kuzmenko.
Florida is not trading Reinhart, and he would rather stay than trade somewhere else.
