Description
Ducks fans, what would it cost to acquire Henrique? We are assuming he waives his M-NTC to go to a contending team. We saw what Lindholm just went for.

Better off doing nothing then doing an overpay.

I keep seeing Lucius on here. I kinda doubt he has much value still. I definitely don't see him being a centre piece of a trade.

Somehow he still carries value to NHL GMs. But I totally get what you’re saying. Could swap him for Zhilkin or another.

Sh*t or get off the pot man. We do this every single year. Justify pushing it off another year cause we’ll be better. Sometimes you need to just go for it.

I like Lucius to Ducks…fits need/timeline.

Maybe Lucius/2nd for retained Rico?

I don't think that Anaheim is interested in taking back Schmidt's big hit, even though it's only for one season. Henrique with 50% retention for the first and either Kupari or Lucius, depending on the respective sides' negotiating skills, would be reasonable. In all fairness, I don't see us entitled to more.

What would've been a Jets equivalent for Lindholm?

1st, Salomonsson, Kuzmin, Iafallo, 4th ?

Or is Salomonsson ranked a lot higher then Brzustewicz?

I wonder if the Flames valued Kuzmenko or if they were just willing to take him to facilitate the trade.

Most of us ducks fans would have been happy with a 2nd and a solid prospect for Henrique 50% retained at the TDL when the season started. After seeing that Lindholm return plus Henrique’s production, I hope Verbeek gets a 1st plus whatever the highest bidder is willing to add or a really good prospect filling a need.

Jesus, talk about setting the market.

I guess 1st, B+/A- prospect, Schmidt for Rico 20% retained and we buy out Schmidt in the off season.

Few days ago I mocked Henrique to the Jets for a first and was chastised for it being a gross overpay lol. How quickly people’s perceptions change. I think no way Henrique fetches Lindholm return though

So what I’m saying is Wpg keeps Schmidt, Ana retains 50% on Henrique and Jets send their first and maybe a little sweetener the ducks way is what is fair for me

I get what you're saying here, but the Jets really don't need to give up this much for Henrique.

Also, why do we want the guy playing 3C on the worst team in the league to come in and be our 2c? if the ask from Anaheim is like Montreal's 2nd and a B-tier prospect, sure. But I'm not overpaying for Henrique, Monahan, Dowd or any of the dime-a-dozen centres who are only marginally better than Namestnikov. If there aren't any difference makers left after the Lindholm move, then go out and get one of these guys so you don't have Dominic Toninato in your top-6 if someone gets hurt, but you don't need to overpay for them.

I saw an Athletic article where Alex Wennberg was briefly mentioned regarding the Jets -- it was speculation not league rumours. If the Kraken fall out of the playoff race, that could be interesting if the Kraken don't intend to extend him.

Perhaps I’m overvaluing Rico. I think he’s quite a solid player. Responsible defensively and would be a good fit between KC and Perfetti. Bowness uses the Lowry line more than the “2nd line anyways”.

If it could be done with Lucius and a 1st for Rico 50% retained I think you make that deal in a heartbeat.

It’s hard when a trade is made that truly sets the market. You can only use that to evaluate potential deals. Line sure, Montreal could trade Monahan for Kakko and a pick and the market changes, but for now this is what we have to go off of.

I’d like to think Salo is valued much more than Bruz. But I can’t say that for certain.

I think CAL definitely has value in Kuz, but the $ had to get off of VANs books so likely became somewhat of a negative asset in that sense.

Equivalent package would be like:

Schmidt + Kupari + Lucius and a 1st.

Henrique is playing #1LW with Leo Carlsson and Troy Terry.

Henrique would be the third-leading scorer among forwards on your team, and there are subtle indications that your team is better than ours.

Can he handle a full time load at C? The way Bowness uses his lines, he’d likely be seeing the other teams 3rd or 4th line in matchups.

He seems like he’d be a great fit between Connor and Perfetti.

Henrique averages 17 and a quarter minutes per game, which would be third behind Scheifele and Connor on your team.

By the way, your earlier characterization of Henrique as "responsible defensively" is like saying Connor McDavid is "productive offensively." Henrique is one of the leading penalty killers on the Ducks, one of only two forwards with more than 40 games played who's plus on the season, and usually takes the first faceoff on the penalty kill because he's the best faceoff man Anaheim has.
