They'd never trade Mitts to Boston.
Aside from that the return isn't enough and wouldn't interest them at all.

Can’t see Buffalo trading with a division rival. Especially after the awful Hall deal a couple years ago.

So they “go for it” but trade away last year’s vezina winner?

Caps decline, that is not nearly enough for Lindgren as he is holding down the fort for a bad team this year. You can have NAK for a 4th or 5th rounder though.

All fair points but lindholm just got traded within the division, so it can happen. As for ullmark, I certainly think he’s expendable even in a go for it year

Interesting
Bc most Bruins fans say Carlo is untouchable

I could see the Sabres being interested in Carlo and Ullmark,
IF u guys were willing to move them

I’d imagine we could send back Mittelstadt, Clifton (at half price, around $1.7mil), and another piece…. maybe a 2nd or a decent prospect- or maybe even both?

I don’t think this deal would actually work out in real life,
but we do have what each other needs,
so maybe???

I don't think it's the same thing. The Sabres had an internal cap of around 70 million, then, when pegula found out we could overpay hall, he got all giddy and threw money at him. Hall was banking on a one year contract with eichel and Reinhart, pumping his stats up, and then either riding out the year with buffalo or forcing a trade to the team of his choice, which was afforded to him with a ntc. It went awful with buffalo and he forced his way to Boston. The Sabres got shafted with the return because he called the shots. I happen to believe that if the Sabres weren't a clown show, that he would have at least finished the year, hard to blame the guy for pulling his chute.

The last think the Sabres need is an undersized, young, LW.

If the Bruins want Mitts Carlo and/or Ulmark would need to be coming back as part of a bigger package. I don't think the Bruins will move Carlo and I don't think Ulmark waives.to.go back to Buffalo so I don't see a good fit.
