Habs need a center but would take more than. 5th to take on Ryjo

Mtl would have taken Ryjo contract if he was done after the season but since he got another year left i don’t think they want to be stuck with Dvorak and Ryjo

With all due respect, I believe the Habs pass on this one.
I think it would cost a 3rd round pick, or a 2nd round pick for the Habs to take the contract.
Just my opinion - I don't know

Meh. We could take him for free and the value would come from a "pump and dump". Problem is that it would take a retention slot and we might need the 2 we have for our own assets.

We CAN NOT be trading Buram rn.

Montreal is a good fit for RyJo but as stated, need more than a 5th apparently.

Avs decline the Fleury trade as he's injured

Seems to be everyone's opinion, so I think u got it. That said, no. Maybe a 3rd, but a 2nd is outrageous.

Maybe a 3rd, and a 2nd is outrageous?

I mean... you can say you disagree with a 2nd - and it's true, it seems like a stretch - but for being outrageous.
Monahan got a 1st as a cap dump for one season.
Marleau too.

It's not 'unheard of'.

But I get you - I wouldnt do a 2nd too for Colorado. But sometimes, under the pressure of something else brewing, some GMs need to act quick.

Cheers buddy

And how do the Avs sign Mittelstadt next year?

*that’s IF the Sabres would even agree to this

Not gonna lie, it’d be cool to get to see Fleury chase another cup.

Yeah a 5th won’t do it for Montreal, but maybe Dvorak for Ryjo?

Dvorak is out the rest of the season so the Avs can just stick him on the LTIR and use the cap to chase an upgrade.
Habs get some overpayed center help, but they can afford him and possibly flip him next TDL if he rebounds under MSL enough to get a return at half retained.

RyJo is still on pace for over 18 goals, Monahan was hurt and hasn’t scored 18 since 19-20 and CGY was trying to create cap space to try and keep Tkachuk, COL is in no rush to create cap space, and if they do it in the off season there will be a number of teams that will roll the dice on a guy like Johansen who at the very least has been healthy. Marleau who knows why TOR did that.

This is what's driving me nuts about these Mitts proposals! Avs can't afford him, Sabres don't need another LHD; it just doesn't work.

Exactly. Just because it's outrage imo doesn't mean it's not what needs to be done.

Peace

"ConCUssIoN IsSuES" like it happened yesterday. Hasn't had "concussion issues" in several years and those were the first he had. If someone passes on Byram strictly because of "concussion issues," they get what they deserve.

How many serious concussions has he had? As someone who only suffered 4 mild to mid concussions in my teens, I still get them much easier and longer than normal people.

So yes. You daft dunce, we don't want a LHD with concussion issues.

Well, you airheaded troglodyte, there are plenty of hockey players that have had concussions, many we don't even know about. He seems to be having no long-term ill effects and is still a good player with a bright future. If you never had a player on your team that had any concussions, you wouldn't have a team.

Lol. The one who thinks concussions have no long term impact is calling someone a troglodyte. Lol, you can't make this up.
