Description

I generally agree with the rule to never give up the best player in a trade but though I love Mikko but it will be tough to sign him after next year. They can have Tuch under contract, sign Middlestadt long-term and still have the money they'll need for Cale in a couple of seasons. For this year, it solves the 2C and Middlestadt could move to wing in a couple of years when Ritchie is ready to take 2C over. Also, the $$ will be there for Gabe next year and if he retires, they'll have that $$ for a replacement. This doesn't give up any D and when Val + Kovalenko come later in the spring, it'll be a pretty deep forward unit too.

I mean it would work - Mitts + Tuch = Rantanen in terms of AAV. Then Sabres have tons of prospects to fill the roster and Avs are against the cap . But it's not hockey trade, and AVS decline

Bro that doesn’t get Rantanen, Tuch and Mittlestadt combined have 7 more points than Rantanen who is a top 15 player in the league, if you’re going to do realistic is Tage Thompson + a kicker for Rantanen the proposed trade is awful.

I think Rantanen(+1st 2024) must be trade , but i prefer Mittelstad+ Tuch and one of top prospect from Buffalo.( Savoie,Benson,Peterka,Quinn ,Ostlund ,Kulich or 1st 2024
