If the three forwards are taken by the Habs pick then it means they can take Levshunov or Silayev and not make that horrible trade

unless the Habs move quite far up and are at pick like 4 or 5, one can probably expect all of Celebrini, Lindstrom, Levshunov, and SIlayev to easily be gone by pick 9/10. Demidov is gonna be a toss up from the russian factor

Thats a absolutely terrible trade with NYR.

Goodrow starts at a 1st to take on and laf at this point isnt worth a top 10 pick anymore. Nevermind the extra 1st and arber

Habs will be a bottom 5 team by the end of the year. I expect Ottawa and Buffalo to pass them in the Atlantic by the end of the year. They'll hopefully have 5th overall like last year. That would leave them with the choice of Levshunov or Silayev of the three forwards are gone

Habs fans really make me laugh

This is an EASY “no” from the Sabres
1- not trading Mitts, those rumors were MADE UP by a hack looking to promote his crappy podcast show
2- even if we were- IF :
-Barron is not a top4 guy
-Allen is old & crappy & we don’t need a “mentor”
-we wouldn’t be looking for “futures”

So besides us not wanting to trade Mitts,
u aren’t offering what we’d potentially want in return anyways

So like i said, this is an EASY “No”
And it’s not even close

And Buffalo and Ottawa need to pick up the pace, which it looks like they're starting to do

Probably should, but wouldn’t. They would have to “develop” another top 6 forward, which we all know they aren’t good at, because they would have 0 top 6 RWs

Its a top-5 pick...could flip it for tons of good players.

Send to Buffalo for Tuch...Ottawa for Batherson...

Something like that

You act like they have unlimited cap space. Another big move like that and they’re cap strapped again while needing to pay Igor and KAM. That’s why it’s good to have Kakko and Laffy on cheap contracts

Haven't looked at their 2025 cap yet

(they are also moving Goodrow here)

Goodrow should 100% be a buy-out. If they can move Trouba too, gotta do it. Then I wouldn’t mind this trade possibly

But it seems like buffalo doesn’t want to move Tuch and same for Sens and Batherson

Holy heck I would not do that NYR trade. I think we can all agree Lafreniere is not the game breaker we all thought he was.

I rather have another stud dman along with Xhekaj and the other 1st than do Laf and a cap dump. Im all for trading the pick but for gods sake, not for this.

Hes playing as that elite player rn

84th percentile 5v5 offence on a 50 point pace with no powerplay time. Hes the 2nd best Rangers forward behind Panarin. Hes a ppg player with 1st line PP time

Agree to disagree then. I don't see an elite player in any of those stats.

If those stats you pointed out mean Laf is on par with those two, then they are truly meaningless. Also I never said he was a bust. Just not a game breaker.

Silayev lol

Levshunov would be a nice pick but hes going top 3

Silayev is #2 on some scout lists and having Silayev - Guhle
Hutson - Reinbacher would be a contender for a long time

So in this hypothetical that you laid out it's basically Catton or Silayev - I would take Silayev and find offensive talent else where
