Labanc to me is someone who I would target as a rebound candidate.

If a team can help him refind his game oh boy could be a FA steal

Barabanov I feel might be off to KHL

Hoffman someone's gonna need a cheap PP specialist

Honestly man VGK despite the season outcome when healthy just so ****ing scary especially now that Stone's back

They basically got a **** tonne of depth at forward and blue line and u can just have a field day creating lines

Gonna be a very interesting matchup with DAL who matches them well forward depth wise especially at C.

Embellishing in the playoffs should be an automatic 1 game suspension

Deboer cost them the series last year by playing Suter, Miller & Benn so much. He's a great Xs and Os coach, but damn is he stubborn.

Here's to more stubbornness.

Hertl's got great hands in tight so that should help against Robertson Hintz Pavelski who are some of the best clutch scorers around the blue paint.

It's happened twice in this game so far. Carolina diving everywhere.

Also shoutout Palmieri for missing a wide open net and then taking a dumb penalty

Yeah it’s wild. Easy penalties to call. That was brutal by palmieri

There’s no shot Carolina is making it out of the 2nd rd playing like this. They’ll still beat the isles but they don’t look anything close to cup contenders

I thought their 3rd period was almost flawless

I never understood the hype surrounding the Maple Leafs but holy hell if Boston plays like this all series they will finish off Toronto quickly.

Agreed but to be fair the Leafs got trounced by the Lightning in game 1 in 2023 and a few days later they eliminated the Bolts so anything can happen

True but Cernak was flying elbowed out of the series so Domi and Carlo maybe..

Sorry Leafs fans, I say this as someone who calls the Leafs his “second” team… they didn’t get any better. Dubas was not the problem. The ownership group is where it all starts and they suck at making decisions.

Overreaction at its finest

Never should call a series after game 1

Leafs are 2-7 game 1's

Last time they lost 6-3 to TBL game 1 then look what happened lul

Most of us know Dubas was not the problem. Him getting canned was a tough day.

Now I will say that was one of the most undisciplined games I saw out of TOR tonight

But hey didnt wind up with a suspension like last year so thats a positive.

Regroup get healthy and get ready for Game 2

It's not uncommon that teams spend a game aggressively "not being intimidated" and forgetting to play hockey.

They started real good.

TOR just to me straight up forgot how to play and made all the relevent fears come into reality but amplified it

Not super concerned its one game but man its becoming to big of a theme lul

yay game 1 overreactions lol. Obligatory 'you're only in trouble when you lose a game at home' reminder.

Brace yourselves for the Marner proposals (spoiler: an extension with LA is the only team that makes sense, after they buy out PLD. Unless Blake gets fired).

A player that's willing to stand there and get punched in the face to draw a penalty is just as important as a player that's willing to physically stand up for their teammates. Seems like something you can teach, though...

Carolina? Luck played a huge role. Dobson with two grade A chances and palmieri couldn’t put the puck in an open net.

That's just a dumb comment, Auston Matthews scored 69 goals, last I checked Reinhart had 57, not even close
