Like Necas quite a bit but Lekkerimaki is showing signs that he may be in North America next season. Possibly seeing NHL ice time so I wouldn't do this. Van would also need to shed a bunch of money somehow. Van would probably offer something like 1st, Garland/Miki + prospect and I doubt you'd want that.

Absolutely no interest in that, Lekkerimaki would have to be part of the return to interest the Canes, everything else is kind of up in the air. I'd do this without the first and with something like Hoglander instead, but the value here for Carolina is Lekkerimaki.

I don't think a Necas deal works for Vancouver right now unless salary is going back, as we are arguably in a worse cap constraint so need Podz and Lekkerimaki more then Necas.

Only deal that kind of works for both teams is if Hronek prices himself out of VAN and trade him for a package around Necas

Carolina would have no interest in Hronek.

Would love to acquire Necas but can’t see the Canucks moving Lekkerimaki. And it would be tough for us to sign Necas without shedding cap as well

And nor does Vancouver have any interest in parting with Hoglander of Lekkerimäki

For Necas though, who they have a long standing interest in, something's got to give. Probably Lekkerimaki if the deal is to be made. Hoglander isn't even anything special, he'll regress next year tbf

They would like to see what they have with Lekkerimäki before trading him for someone who will cost $6M+. Hoglander isn’t anything special? You just said he’s the equivalent of a 1st

No, I said I'd be willing to lower the price to Hoglander instead of the 1st, Hoglander isn't anything special.

They want to see what Lekkerimaki is, but they also know they need a genuine linemate for EP40, hence the longstanding interest in Necas. Now Necas has broken out, it's going to cost more, but that's why Vancouver listened when Necas was thrown out there in a package for Pettersson. You think Lekkerimaki's the straw that will break the back when EP40 was someone they had to consider? Really?

One dimensional pending RFA Necas or Lekkerimaki for 10+ years?

I'd be willing to lower the price to Hoglander instead of the 1st. So isn't that Hoglander for a 1st? lmao

Necas is anything but one-dimentiona LMAO. He's strong, rapid, skilful, had a rapid shot, and you'd get him for 8 years. 8 years of Martin Necas or the mystery box that is Lekkerimaki? Don't be dumb here. You can say you'd rather not do this because you like Lekkerimaki, but to say Vancouver wouldn't have any interest is braindead, especially when it's public knowledge they want Necas.

8 years of a will be expensive winger Canucks already have in Boeser or 10+ years of Lekkerimäki who the Canucks can have on ELC during their contention window? Sure they’d have interest but not at that price
