I am sure. And I didn't say it wasn't "fair." But RyJo does NOT fill a need. He is just straight up not worth it. The cap hit is not a problem, we don't need retention. If we are going to take on a cap dump it should be one that brings in assets that actually help our rebuild. Another mid round pick does nothing, and a $2M cap hit does not help us get to the cap floor enough to justify giving another bad forward a roster spot. There will be better options over the summer, whether they are cap dumps/casualties, or free agents, or even from within, we will get to the cap floor. Also, RyJo is not better than Dicky. I'd struggle to put RyJo in our bottom 6 over most players. The phone call alone wouldn't even be worth KD's time.
