LAK cannot afford to take on markstrom, and give up 2 roster players making 800k.

Not close on Zegras

Doesn’t make Verbeek want to trade someone he never shopped

Tough because Batherson has been so good of late, and has a great contract, but you have to take that imo. Trade Chychrun for a top 6 replacement winger, then get a goalie.

Okhotiuk is a LhD and therefore a nullity to Anaheim. Since you don't have a top-10 draft pick, it would take more than your own 2024 first and Matthew Coronato to acquire Trevor Zegras, and what else do you have in the Rhd/RW department?

Conroy is too smart to do any of that.

As an Ottawa fan, I am lost. On one hand I love Batherson and he has a great contract and could definitely become a PPG guy but Weegar would be such a good add and fit to the Sens backend. I think the Sens take this because wingers are more replaceable but I'm still split.

Big fat nope from ANA. Zegras isn’t available. It’d take a blue chip piece we couldn’t say no to even consider moving him. There’s nothing close to that here

Lol Markstrom isn't worth anywhere near that, even if LA could afford the cap.

OTT declines, despite the ridiculous response by Claesson4Norris and Who_is_Jimmy_Stu, making a hole to plug a hole still leaves OTT with a hole.

Claesson4Norris Good luck finding another under 26 yo 65 point winger making less than 5M for 3 more years. in a cap world Bath has immensely more value than weegar

find another 65P under 26 yo RW making less than 5M for 3 more years that is available, there aren't, making a hole to plug a hole still leaves OTT a hole.

talented scoring wingers are easier to find than all-situation top 4 right-shot defensemen. If the team wants success next year this deal makes them better. There is still a hole, but that hole is easier to patch

who replace Bath, tell me i want to know this magical under 26 65+P winger making less than 5M that OTT can get after they trade their ONLY under 36 RW? OTT is already up against the cap, they cannot afford to bring in a 7-8M winger to replace bath. YOU DONT MAKE A HOLE TO PLUG A HOLE.

Calgary won't be trading Andersson for a winger who can put up some points but is a big defensive liability.

Don't think the Caps will be super interested in Mangiapane with Miroshnichenko, Lapierre, and potentially Leonard all in the NHL next year to take up middle 6 roles. Think they'll be much more likely to target either a top line forward with all the cap space they'll have in the offseason if they look to improve the forward corp.
