Ah yes, the reincarnation of Ron Hextall playing in the pressure cooker of Toronto. Imagine the headlines his antics will bring.

I would cover the retention personally just to watch that.

Just let Sammy have the net

    Since coming back much better

Look at the EDM game before the injury. Was really good

He's electric when on top of his game but he's not reliable. He goes down too often.

Having a 20 man roster isn't a way to build a team. Weak fourth line, weak centre depth, and two non ready rookies.

Uhh so you've paid for the retention you're not getting, where's the rest of the offer?

I doubt the blues will trade Binnington right now. Hofer has only 1 good season so far. We will probably keep him for another year or 2 at least unless someone offers a stupid ridiculous offer

CHI wouldn't take Kampf's contract for nothing.

That's what happens when you give four forwards half the money.

Some team will claim him off waivers. I figured a team with tons of cap space would be more comfortable doing it.

Hofer has been fantastic. But going into next season relying on goaltending with very little experience is a recipe for disaster.

Ah. Gotcha. Yeah, CHI has no need for him. So they wouldn't claim him.

Binnington is not the guy you “ build from the net out” with 🤣. Past cup winners have shown - you don’t need top tier goalie to win. If you have a top tier goalie - certainly a big advantage - but there aren’t many and they typically don’t get traded. Just a really poorly thought out proposal; the $40M on 4 forwards is old news and also a fact (no one has a Time Machine so 🤷🏻) - no use over reacting and building a worse team

Any team claiming Kampf off waivers is still going to have to pay that $2.4m ticket for the next three seasons which is way too much for a 4th line role player. The Leafs will need to retain 50% on Kampf to make him palatable for most teams.

There are not t many proven goalies on the market or in free agency. Markstrom will probably land in Jersey, and Nashville will hold onto Saros unless a team overpays.

Binnington makes a lot of sense.

Disagree; prefer Woll + much cheaper FA goalie (lots and lots of options) to play 1B. Go Leafs Go!
