Trades
1.
BUF
  1. Coleman, Blake
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Calgary needs help on defense and their bottom 6. Joki brings youth, yet had plenty of experience and had a solid year for Buffalo. Krebs can be used throughout the lineup. Fresh face on a team that has signaled they want and need change.
CGY
  1. Jokiharju, Henri [RFA Rights]
  2. Krebs, Peyton [RFA Rights]
  3. 2025 2nd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Coleman is the Swiss army knife Lindy loves. Can use him anywhere in the lineup, he is a top-notch penalty killer and can score 20. Aggressive and versatile and is accountable.
2.
BUF
  1. Jenner, Boone
  2. 2024 5th round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Columbus adds a veteran player who can still score 25+ goals and can skate on a top 6 line which Columbus has holes at. Rosen had a great second year in the AHL and is ready for the NHL. Fast, sick mitts and a smart player, can add a lot to the Blue Jackets roster.
CBJ
  1. Rosén, Isak
  2. Skinner, Jeff
  3. 2024 2nd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Sabres retain 25% of Skinners contract for remainder of the deal.
Skinner will not be a Lindy player, he doesn't back check, doesn't block shots, doesn't penalty kill. Boone Jenner is the exact player Lindy wants and needs. Brings leadership and accountability to this young team. Sabres avoid needing to give up a 1st because they retain salary for duration of Skinners contract. Rosen doesn't have a clear path to the NHL with the roster as it stands and Columbus is still in need of a talent infusion.
3.
BUF
  1. Tanev, Brandon
Additional Details:
Kraken acquire a hell of a prospect in Ostlund. Bryson is a 6th/7th D option who had a very solid year in Buffalo. Adds some youth on an old D core.
SEA
  1. Bryson, Jacob [RFA Rights]
  2. Östlund, Noah
  3. 2025 3rd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Tanev is the 3rd/4th liner that Lindy loves. Pesky and an agitator. Ostlund is still 2 years away from being NHL ready, but the guy is flashy, has great hands, can skate extremely well and will be a valuable asset on a Kraken team full of early 30's players. Bryson had a solid season and showed he had value. Solid 6th/7th D option for the Kraken who also have an older D lineup.
Conditional 3rd, can become 2026 2nd if Sabres make playoffs

So many of these trades are never going to happen. Jeff Skinner has a full no movement clause. Of all the places he will definitely never agree to be traded, Columbus is on the list.

I would probably do the greenway trade, at least I think he was worth a third at one point recently… I guess it depends on how he did in buffalo:

Your explanation of the Columbus trade is straight up delusional, but that doesn’t matter because it never even gets to the phone call stage because Skinner and his agent laugh until they cry when Adam’s brings it to them.

An easy way for Sabres fans to consider attempts to pick up Jenner is to consider the following: Would you trade Tuch for that package?
If the answer is "no", you're not getting Jenner.
If the answer is "yes", you might have something, but there's no guarantee.

If Power is already 3rd Pair, that contract is going to age bad.

Hawks might accept that. Greenway adds some much needed size to the forward group.

He might be worth a 3rd, but I don't really see the value the Hawks get. He is 3rd line player. Only played a full season once, 5 years ago. 1 season of more than 30 points. He is pretty much meh.

As a Seattle fan I love the trade. But you also highlight the exact reason why Tanev doesn't get traded. Hakstol loves him for all the reasons you listed. Personally I'm tired of his lack of skill. You can find someone with that hustle and better hands out there.
