Buddy, that Marner deal and the Eichel deal are worlds apart. McTavish is untouchable at a minimum, and frankly I wouldn't pull the trigger even if you dropped McTavish.

Only way I’m taking Marner is to retain 50% to trade him somewhere else

He certainly won’t be worth his next contract

I wouldn’t take it if they dropped McTavish, the 1st and colangelo. Zegras + $6M > Marner

Jack Eichel is a Stanley Cup Champion and isn’t being paid 12 million dollars to not show up in playoffs.

That Ducks trade is absolutely ridiculous and might be the worst mock trade I’ve ever seen.

To be fair Jack had never played in a playoff game at the time he was traded. That Cup came after. His neck was also a huge question mark.

… That said, if the neck drops his value, his contract compared to Marner’s (one year left and overpaid) cancels it out.

And then you have to consider that ANA’s 1st + McTavish + Zegras is wayyyyy more valuable than VGK’s 1st + Tuch + Krebs.

And THEN consider ones a center and the other is a winger.

These are not close to one another. ACGM is high. 😂
