If Provorov took issue with Torts being a hard-ass, cant wait to see what he thinks of Babs lol

(DET/MIN) - Sundqvist for 4th
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Koskinen_The_Great</b></div><div>Huh? You mean ALEX NEDELJKOVIC (unless you mean Berggren, dont think hes close to top3 this year) Kinda random to mention as part of the 3 rookies as IF he's this great asset when he's their 3rd goalie, he's 27 and could be had for a song.</div></div>
Well you know I did specifically say Berggren so not sure where you are pulling Ned from, and from a pure rookie standpoint of no previous NHL seasons experience he was 3rd, now 4th. Factoring the handful of games played he is behind Johnston & Sanderson, he very well could be past both of them in points too. To pace for roughly .5 PPG is a nice accomplishment given he hasnt had any benefit of experience.

I think Stevie traded away everyone that I wanted gone this TDL, I'm pretty happy about it in all honesty. Only one that shocked me was Hronek, and even then it's up the in air. Let's face it, the wings are the 2nd youngest team in the NHL, with 3 rookies who will finish in the top 3 of calder within the last 2 years (I believe Berggren will be top 3). Relax, sit back and let's see how FA works.

I mean they still have so many quality to great pieces it very well could be a retool, but certainly could see it. I mean Josi, Saros, forsberg, can get a kings ransom for them if it truly is a blowup

So what is ultimately Nashvilles gameplan? Are they trying to "retool" like WSH? That's the vibe I'm getting but I also wouldn't be surprised if I woke up and they are in full fire sale

Detroit Red Wings signed Dylan Larkin (8 Years / $8,700,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>No it doesn't but at the start of the season with the additions Ottawa made I thought they were a playoff team for sure. By no means did Detroit play well against Ottawa but if watched those games you can't take anything away from Ottawa they looked really good. It took longer than I thought but you don't want to peak too early and they wouldn't have added Chychrun if they didn't think they had a chance. As for as the coaching changes where were they against Ottawa? So when the team does poorly it's Larkin's fault but when the team does well it's the coaching.</div></div>
No. But if you look through the season as the wings were finding there way, they made some good changes like pairing maatta and hronek, and then walman/Seider became a revelation. Mixed with Perrons poise and some additonal aspects.
Larkin is a good player and can be great but his attitude, when the wings are getting pumped, shows up and he becomes a ghost. I need to see the Larkin that will dive through ardvinssons legs to stop an empty netter more.
I would for sure put some blame on Yzerman for not acquiring that rigid power forward (Sunquist is underwhelming) yet like he's done in the past, bc this team is softer than Freddie mercury at the playboy mansion. But I trust Stevie so I'm not concerned too much yet

(BUF/LAK) - Portillo for 3rd
Seen Portillo live a few times and he is very sound in net and someone I would like to have in my pipeline. Only possible negative is he's already playing/played with so many NHL players at the college level so hopefully he doesn't have a rude awakening when sides are flipped on talent.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>Detroit was without 2 of their top 6 forwards for most of the season and they are still in the hunt for a wild card spot. I think that says a lot more about leadership than the last 2 games does.
Vasilevskiy is the reason they lost that TB game. He made 45 saves and at least 15 were impressive.</div></div>
I would argue that coaching adjustments through out the year and more veterans on the team helped more so. That's still doesn't excuse getting bent over by Ottawa twice and having to pay them money. Spare me with the excuses, every team gets hit with the injury bug. This team is improving, just leave it at that and hope they continue on the upward trajectory.

Sighing with content is the initial reaction.
On one hand I think he has great potential and could get to 90 points a few times bc he never truly played with great players so I'll give him benefit of the doubt.
But on the other hand, he becomes a ghost for stretches, the last 3 games for instance & getting punked by the sens was a reflection of leadership to a degree.
Still going fair deal though.
