should be considered part of the Eyssimont trade, and it comes off as fair value, so generally agree this is an overall win. 4th round in 2025 is pretty far away though when SJ needs picks now

20 picks in the next two drafts. I think we're okay.

SJ has a decent amount of later picks... SJ traditionally has sucked at earlier picks anyway I suppose
Guess there's still a chance SJ can load up further by shipping EK at the draft

Traditionally under Wilson. Grier did pretty good in his first draft although we don't know how much of that was DWJr.
So Chevy gives up Eyssimont for nothing in a waiver claim that was ill advised on his part to begin with ( to keep recent pickup Kuhlman) then gives up a 4th for the guy San Jose got straight up for Eyssimont which no doubt means Kuhlman goes back on waivers to open the spot. Classic asset mismanagement on Chevys part. And by the way anyone who thinks the jets tailspin coinciding with them losing Eyssimont is a coincidence should look at it again as the Jets had the right mix going and then they had to tinker with it which I could not understand as I thought Eyssimont was one of the Jets better bottom pairing option (skates well and works his butt off) when he was in Winnipeg.
