I like the idea of trading Dumba to Philly for both teams. Philly lets Risto walk, Dumba would be a definite upgrade for next year. Minnesota stacks up on offence and opens up cap space for next year to sign Fiala. However don't think it will be happening at the deadline due to team chemistry.

Trading Eeli for Juuso is not a lateral move. It simply a huge loss for the Preds. He is under a very reasonable contract as well. Don't understand why people want to trade him away so quickly. Yeah he isnt getting as many points but look at all the over areas of his game that no one talks about. Dude is hitting machine for a guy who is suppose to be a sniper.

Different Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>On the ARI deal -- I think NSH needs a center more than another winger; they haven't had a consistent guy there all year (Novak being the closest). And rumor is that there's a lot of interest in him around the league, so he could be more expensive to acquire than Larsson as well.
On Myers -- Consistent usage could help with that. But I agree, I've seen him struggle to find a pass from behind the net on breakouts and they can lead to turnovers -- not nearly as bad as Harpur though... I saw quite a few mistakes on breakouts from all four of Harpur, Benning, Boro, and Myers last night.</div></div>
I can see where you are coming from on that. He has been playing 1st and 2nd line center alot so it could really help in the playoffs.
Yes, usage would help. If Myers were to actually play and find a groove and a Soucy trade happened. You wouldn't have to worry about the 3rd line for once and would be pretty comfortable with the 3rd line and D depth for playoffs to. Harpur needs to be cut or sent permanently back to the AHL. Im not sure how he's on NHL roster, just looks lost 24/7

Soucy would be a great addition and needed one for that 3rd pair. Would be decent pair with Benning. I'd rather have Crouse over Larsson for more physicality.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>For whatever reason, Hynes prefers Benning.
Benning has played well, so credit to him -- but I don't think Myers has played that bad either. Last season, Hynes was benching Fabbro a lot towards the end of the year and into the playoffs, but he's on the top pair this year. Maybe he's working with Myers in that same vain -- giving him games here and there and then hoping that he can be a full-time guy next season.
However, with Fabbro injured right now, Myers should be playing a lot more -- so we'll see if his play now will force himself into the lineup more regularly once Fabbro returns.</div></div>
Myers just seems like he can't the puck out of the zone is his big problem from what I seen, but doesn't help when you have to play with Boro,

Kunin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>I’ve seen Nashville has interest in DeBrusk previously and I’m open to a swap bc it opens up a spot on the 2nd line for Tomasino. So I’m ok with the trade but if you are looking for a center I don’t think Kunin has played much (if any) center at the nhl level</div></div>
He came up a center and played a bit of center with the Wild, but majority has been at wing. DeBrusk just seem like he's a fit for Nashville's identity right now.

I think they would take a 4.9 mill over 5 year cap hit vs 5.25 million over 5 years for absorbing half of Price's contract.

Mike Smith is a hell of a lot better than Koskinen. So, yeah that would be a cap dump otherwise you would keep him and not be trading him for some washed up defenseman.

Oilers need to add to that trade since you are dumping Koskinen salary even if you are taking 2 million back.

Prediction part 1
Traded Ardvi cause he was gonna be exposed and were gonna lose him to Seattle. He had value that's why he was moved. Jarnkrok doesn't have as much value and only has 1 year left making him a lot easier to lose compared to a guy with 3 years left. TSN Insider Trading mention Preds are trying to move a d man before the expansion draft, I suspect that would be either Ellis or Ekholm. so a deal happen sooner rather than in-season.

If you are trading Ekholm and Ellis, you might as well trade Forsberg too. No sense in getting established NHLers either, picks and prospects cause it's a rebuild in this scenario.

Nashville would probably accept that as it stands. Probably would want 50+ points on Patrick for their sake, but I could see a deal like this happening.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>I'd prefer Konecny or Frost as my target in a Ellis to PHI trade over Patrick.
I think Saad makes sense if Hynes is back (most likely) -- I think he'd fit the system. Though I think the contract (and Granlund's) are both high.
No need for Ullmark. Give 1 year to Rinne or let Ingram play backup.</div></div>
You could get probably a 1st, Frost, and Patrick. They aren’t gonna move Konecey if they are acquiring Ellis. They have a decent prospect pool to dip into.
I’d go Marzek at goalie will be looking for a 1 year deal to regain value after an injury filled season.
