Sens and Canes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mike7856</b></div><div>Personally don’t think Ottawa would want Saad. Think they want a 2019 first rounder for Hoff. And I disagree with your assessment on Duchene. Feel he’s worth more then a probable mid 1st and late 2nd. Top Centers are valued throughout the league</div></div>
Hoff isn’t getting a 1st rounder unless it’s a late one, and Saad is worth slightly more then Hoff right now.
Duchess is not a 1C and he’s not the caliber of ROR. I don’t understand why Ottawa fans think he’s all that. He’s good but now tier A talent, more like a A- talent. A first and second rounder is enough, if not Ottawa wastes another year and he walks because of all the issues they are having and Sens end up with nothing.
Between Karlsson, Hoff and Duchene; Sens can pick up 3 more 1st round picks in a deep draft and rebuild quickly.

Big moves, sign JVR trade Pavelski
Dude. This is a community where people make their own takes on drafts, trades, rosters etc. When you post here, you put that post up for everyone's review and people can comment on it, praise or critize is it. So please, don't do that "it's just an arm chair gm" stuff. It's stupid. I think OshietheBeast has a point in his comments and I do agree with him. If you want to mess around with Armchair-GM but don't want other poeple to comment on it: don't publish these rosters.

SMART Realistic MOVES
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Because there's not a chance Hawks take on that contract, nor do they need him at this point. Sikura is taking the #3RW.</div></div>
Totally, Chicago was just thrown in there as an example, Hense why I made sure to state that it could be any other team. Basically I just don't see shaw in MTL's picture any more.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>My thinking in that deal would be that Perreault is taking much more of a cap space than 2.5mil Shaw. They could let their younger guys play higher and developing them right in the game (Vesalainen, Roslovic) with veterans while Perreault would provide neccesity for MTL at C. And he is french-canadien! :D Shaw on the other hand is great playoff performer and he might really be that one piece which would take WPG to another level.</div></div>
I agree, I'd love to see perreault for sure. At the end of the day, I've just been seeing lots of unrealistic trades out here, and Although all the talk is around Tavares, I still think that even with Tavares's acquisition , MTL would need one more center. So yea, I'd be happy with perreault or any other decent Center we could score a deal with for sure.

Time to hit the reset button
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>That would do chi a favour and get out from under seabrook contract but a slippery slope none the less after Webber’s past season probably reaching at 8 maybe the Nashville pick or second rounder</div></div>
He has 8 years left at a $7.85M cap hit and is 32 years old. Seabs has 6 years left and after 4 becomes a modified NTC, is $1M less, and honestly his play hasn't fallen off a cliff by any means. He's slow now but otherwise still playing pretty well.

Hmmm
Arizona needs help to reach the cap floor, but Hossa's actual salary is only 1 million. Its actually a gift to a small market team like them, rather than a burden that most people assume cap hits are.
Wilson scored 15 points in the post season, is a mean muggin SOB, and plays to PK minutes. He is undoubtedly worth the money he will get here.

Rebuilding because the team is a mess
This is truly an awful team of expensive players with some strengths, but not the same ones, and not put together in any coherent order. But starting off by Hoffman and a late first round pick to get back Orrawa's first means that gets them draft position twice, instead of just once, so it seems legit. Ten first round picks over two years would be a great haul for a team that isn't clicking, and they should be really, really good in six years.
But Ottawa also has to sell tickets within the next six years to stay in Kannata. Their owner is retired on some Island and, from the interviews he gives, cares less and less about the team. He has publicly complained about writing checks for a team that oses games and money. I can only imagine what that does to the players' morale, and he should really stop giving interviews, except online, ghostwritten ones, where some constantly smiling optimist like Joel Osteen answers for him. But on topic, the above roster is a sure bet to move out of the Ottawa area entirely, by the time it's any good. They'll be great in Portland, though, just about the same time the arena gets built. But you'll have been long since canned as imaginary GM. Sorry, dude.

Domi - Horvat
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OshietheBeast</b></div><div>Well, changing that 4th rounder to a 2nd would be fair. But nucks also need their centers and Horvat is basically the one and only NHL proven young center on their roster, so yea, I don't see them trading Bo. Unless someone overpays significantly, which would be very Bergevin-like move to make ?.</div></div>
That’s one thing that seems to get forgotten with ACGMs.....just because it’s fair value doesn’t mean it’s a good deal for the recipient.
This wasn’t equal value And as you said, Horvat is more valuable to them then what his trade value is.

WPG NYR TOR
The Jets will have cap issues and need to clear space for a lot of big money guys coming in. They have a couple bad contracts and will have to make a trade. Myers will definitely garner a late first. Supply and demand makes Myers a trade pretty profitable for the Jets. He's the easiest guy to trade and get a decent return. Trading Trouba would bring a bigger return, but he is also a lot harder to replace than Myers. They'd have Buff and Trouba on the right side so they can afford to have a little less talent on the 3rd pairing.

Staying competitive/ draft moving
Kovi will go to a team that has a chance. If he really was going to take a chance and go to a bad team so he could pick a team at the deadline, its too ballsy.. Here are the reasons why he cant take that risk... 1) does the non-competitive team he picks have the pieces to still make him a successful player? your only as good as the guys around you... 2) what happens when you get to the deadline and the 6 teams he picks dont have CAP space? 3) is Detroit willing to move him and retain salary OR accept a bad contract in return... example, Tampa wants Kovi, Detroit takes what? A first round pick from a playoff team (22-26 overall) and Ryan Callahan's contract to make room? Detroit wouldnt do that.. which leaves Kovalchuk in Detroit and golfing during the playoffs.
