No, he hasn't fallen off that much. Idk what it is with NSH fans, but Eky is one of our strongest D-Men.
That being said, I think I'd still take this trade.
He can play right, he just loses production when doing so.

Yeah, I agree. I'm just worried that we have all this talent now and not capitalising on it will leave us without talent come the TDL and FA

I think anyone NSH has right now has had their value diminish. And I would want to keep Tolvy but I want someone who can score more than him, and skate faster.

Off-Season Moves pt 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>I wouldn't say Preds fans are dying to get rid of him, but it is obvious he doesn't have a place with the team. Worst case scenario, NSH parks him in the AHL for his remaining year. Interestingly, a buy out of Myers results in a cap surplus next season of a little over $600K. That could be useful to a cap strapped team, but I still wouldn't expect much in a trade return for him.
Despite the hundreds of Nylander proposals TOR fans post every day, they aren't moving him this cheaply. I think it would be something more like a 1st, a better young player than Tolvanen, and likely a third piece.
I'd guess that Forsberg is probably looking for around $9M, and the RFAs are all going to cost more than this. $3M seems like much too much for Cole.</div></div>
I think Fil is probably looking for more too but I think it's EvolvingHockey that has him at 8.5x8. I think it may be more 9x8 but who knows.
Lauzon I think is the right price, but I concede that Trenin and Glass might cost more.
I overpaid on Cole mainly to make sure that he wouldn't accept another offer. IT would all come down to negotiation.
What do you think about 2023 1st, Tolvanen, and L'Heureux?

Off-Season Moves pt 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ritzy</b></div><div>What do you mean he doesn't mesh well with your system? NSH would be the second team he didn't fit in with, wouldn't be smart to move Nylander and have him be one of only two pieces coming back. Tolvanen won't make up for that.
TOR has enough depth defenders at the moment, potentially trying to move one to create a little cap space.</div></div>
That is a fair assessment of him. I think Lenny is right and he probably gets bought out or traded as cap relief for another team. not that his $3.8Mil is much of a relief

Off-Season Moves pt 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Not a Leafs fan, but it's definitely not the price for him, regardless of what a certain group of fans that don't like nice things on their own team would have you think...
-Myers was waived last year and went unclaimed. His actual $'s owed this year is $3.8 mil, which makes him even less attractive as an asset. Odds are he gets bought out, or swapped for an equally bad deal.
-Tolvanen is now 23 and has seen little to no success at the NHL level.
-3rd=meh.
-Nylander=point per game player.
IMO, you're looking at a 1st round pick and a very good young asset as a starting point, with some other stuff tossed in.</div></div>
Good feedback thanks for laying it out like that! I'm always hesitant to throw draft picks on there because to be perfectly honest I really don't know their worth.
- I think Meyers could fit in Toronto. He's not the best player but he definitely adds depth and I do think that his play for the Marlies is indicative of something.
-Tolvanen, I don't think he's a bust at the NHL but rather he didn't find a good fit in NSH and needs a change of scenery to bring him to life.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ritzy</b></div><div>I've read from some NSH fans that they are dying to get rid of Myers. If that is true, there's something wrong with him and should not be in a package that acquires Nylander.</div></div>
We are trying to get rid of him but that's more because he doesn't mesh with out system rather than him being a total bust. I say he just needs more development. He's 25 so not too old and he would provide much needed cap space and defensive depth. Though IDK if you guys are struggling with that so I may be wrong

What do you think Flames and Nashville fans
I will say that NSH would be interested in Miller for our second line. However, NSH isn't going to give a 1st and Fabs. He's grown this year into a solid linemate for Josi and might be able to lead the 3rd pair on his own depending on how things shake up this summer. One or the other is probably what you would get and Tolvanen or Kunin to sweeten the deal with L'Heureux. (I don't know enough about L'Heureux to determine if NSH should keep him)

It most definitely is. as much as I love Ingram and his story, I'd rather trade him than Askarov. Maybe my opinion will change in the future, but since we aren't at the competitive level that we need to be and probably won't be for much of Saros' golden years. I would like to hang on to Asky.
