I would need more than that to move Dumba and I really think it’s clear that the market isn’t there for him. But I agree he is absolutely worth more than a 1st, which is why he’s gonna stay. At least for the time being.

I'm not sure where his market is at or who exactly would have enough interest to pay premium assets to acquire him. Dallas seems like a team that may have interest in him to replace Klingberg and a 1st seems like a decent base.
Plus, I'm not sure what prospect(s) they'd want to give up so I thought that I'd play it safer with the proposal since he'll be a UFA next offseason and it's also a cap move on Minnesota's end

Canucks Retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>West_Virginia_Take_Me_Home</b></div><div>Why the boeser and Pearson trades? I'd rather keep them part of.your future than overpaying for forsberg</div></div>
Its good to know fans in the league see Boeser with alot of value haha! Canucks fans know he's not worth close to his 7.5 mil qualifying offer. I would argue not even 6 mil long term. He is a poor skater, does not use his size (and he's a big strong guy), and is really a very one dimensional complementary player. He cannot create on his own due to his lack of speed and yes has a terrific shot and can finish but that's it. Too many nights he's invisible. Our team is not fast, if he's on a fast team or playing with very fast players who can create room for him, he can be very successful. On the Canucks, we need more from 7.5 mil players, he is just not worth the money. Pearson is to create cap room, and while he's solid, if we can sign Evander Kane (who still wants to play at home) for cheap given his age and history he's a big upgrade on Pearson.
As for Forsberg, he is only 27 (Boeser is 24 going on 25, not much of an age gap), and he's been very consistent in his career. I don't see that as a huge overpayment and he's a major upgrade on Boeser as he is a fantastic skater and can put up numbers just as good or better.

Way too much injury risk and 5.25 plus giving up a 1st and top prospect for a 3C. It's just too large a cap hit and too much future to give up for someone you want as a 3C.

You really think that they’d let toews trump them? We’ve brought in cup winners before that have had no say. I think buff was the real leader of the team. They need to make wholesale leadership and coaching changes. That doesn’t mean they just strip wheels and scheif of their letters but move on from them.

Tarasenko could very well be out too. Personally I like Buch and Thomas with Tarasenko better. But if we could use Barby in a trade for Chychrun or some other young defender like that they should

On Philly’s current roster, Barbashev is tied with Giroux for second most goals, assists and points. According to that Barbashev should be worth more than Giroux since he is younger, cheaper, and has a ring too ;)

Binnington might be in a slump but for a start of his career to be considered for a vezina, Conn Smythe, and Calder in the same year and already has a cup to his name. I probably wouldn't be complaining</div></div>
It is an option I’ve toyed around with recently trying to see if there was a way for it to work but I just don’t see how. Current RFAs need to resign nurses large raise coming into effect it’s a very tough deal to work that also carries a very realistic risk that within a year skinner could very well be the starter and oilers just caused themselves the same situation blues are attempting to get out of here. Nothing against him do think right now would and could help but moving forward changes it would cause and force are too dramatic. Interesting idea I personally wouldn’t be against it if it wasn’t for cap implications.

The Scheifele speculation started in December because of a daily YouTube sports show in Winnipeg (ex-TSN radio guys). The host went on a long rant about Scheifele's play and how the Jets should trade him. There have been no insiders (TSN or Sportsnet) or beat reporters saying he is being shopped.

No, it's a big buyer's market. The Blues aren't giving a 1st for him, so a 1st and a good prospect is out of the question.

Oi vey.... now "huge contingent" = two CF members. And since when do fans decide on a deal's parameters anyway? I must have missed that meeting.
Oh, and by the way, I have a little secret for you: a not insignificant portion of Blues fans are total dimwits who wanted to toss Tarasenko in the trash for nothing prior to the season (no, I am not referring to anyone here).
