Yep. I don’t agree he gets over 10. Of course most people think it’s the doughty contract. 7-8 years 11. Stupid if any team does that with the way his season went this year with injuries

Dahlin and Drouin
LOL at this trade...Last year it was polled that Dahlin is the 2nd most valuable asset IN THE LEAGUE behind McDavid.
Dahlin is proving to be a 1D at the age of 18.
A COL trade for Dahlin begins with the 1st and MacKinnon.
You also need to think positional scarcity. It's much harder to get a top level D talent on an ELC than any other position IMO.
As for as stats go, Dahlin's Rookie year is almost identical to Bobby Orr in terms of points...and even era adjusted points Dahlin(40 EAP) is only 4 behind Orr(44 EAP) and 13 behind Housley (53 EAP).

Adding a non rental to boost the playoff push
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>corsiagainst</b></div><div>Guhle, Nylander and a 1st is not something I'd be willing to pay for Zucker. Nylander finally looks as though he is starting to realize his potential in the AHL and he could be a big key piece next year. Guhle is certainly tradable with the emergence of pilut and how well McCabe has been playing.
I would offer Guhle, a 2019 1st (Buff) and O'regan (moulson is irrelevant as his contract is over at the end of year and if minny is trading zucker they obviously would have given up on 2019).
If Minny wouldn't do that, I would just pass on the trade all together. This is not a year where the Sabres are going to be pushing deep into the playoffs or anything like that.
With 4 1st rounder's in the next 2 years, plus a couple great wing prospects in smith and nylander I feel like the sabres are set up fantastically for the next couple of years to make some noise. No need to raid the cupboard the way Murray did.</div></div>
Zucker would replace nylander as pilut has replaced guhle. He has 4 more years on his deal after this year

Getting Petry and Playoff roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>corsiagainst</b></div><div>You're cherry picking one player out of the entire NHL and comparing the 2. To be honest they are not alike; they don't even play the same position. Sure he could be a so called "late bloomer" but the fact of the matter is Petry is 31 and you will not be likely to get the production out of him that is necessary to justify the price tag of 2 first rounder's (or even one 1st rounder), which is why its a ridiculously lopsided purposed trade. For reference an Auston Matthews offer sheet would net 4 1st rounder's. Blows my mind people would even consider this type of deal smh.
If we're going to cherry pick players why not compare him to Alex Goligoski. He's slightly older but has been much more consistent over his career; and there is no world in which a GM would trade one 1st rounder let alone 2 for him.</div></div>
All... of... this...

Revisiting TDL deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>playercoachreggiedunlop</b></div><div>Tanev would move to play along Reilly and Edler slides into that second pairing with either Gardiner or pushes him down and is paired with hainsey or Zaitsev. That a blue line for toronto of reilly, tanev, edler, gardiner, hainsey, dermott or zaitsev. Not bad for a prospect a mid line player and a 1st</div></div>
A mid line player that would be the 2nd best right winger on your team and a top 4 forward on your entire team. Kapanen has 30 goal, 30 assist seasons written all over his play. That is worth more than either Edler or Tanev at this stage of their careers. Liljegren is also the Leafs top prospect and would be the #2 defensive prospect behind Quin Hughes in Vancouver. Don't get carried away there boss.

4. Pilut
5. Bogo
6. Scandella (This is probably were Maatta ends up)
Just my opinion</div></div>
