A 1st + Amirov should be enough or throw in maybe a 4th as well; but I'm not a fan of the Hawks trading him. He's a more talented version of Shaw and will hit his prime in a few years when this team is competitive again.</div></div>
yea i like hagel too just nervous new gm will want to trade him based on the rumoured packages and how tempting it would be i like hagel too this is prob only thing i would be ok with

Over-compensating
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TrueCanuck</b></div><div>This comment just seems like an overall lack of knowledge tbh. It’s an extreme overpay and Chicago takes it and runs quickly.
Amirov is one of the top prospects in hockey (ranked anywhere from 15-30 overall). Chicago would be nuts to not at least take him and flip him if they didn’t like him. Engvall is extremely underrated. A great defensive player and has great speed. He’s been a key player this year and he’s still a RFA.
The reported price for Hagel - being a 1st and a top prospect - has been reportedly laughed at and teams are extremely cautious to meet that ask. It’s likely won’t be the case. It’ll be a 1st and a B prospect or lower. So this deal Chicago gets an A- prospect, 1st round pick and a NHL roster player… they take it and run.</div></div>
serevalli has said that teams have been getting close to the asking price of hagel so i dont think teams are laughing remember coleman got a 1st and foote and hagel is younger better contract RFA controlled and better then coleman was

A New Look
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MauriceArthur15</b></div><div>Remember there asking price for Eichel was 4 1st rounder. GM says what they wants but Kyle Davidson would be jumping for joy if he got this offer from the Leafs. 2023 1st ( he doesn't own a 1st in 2023), 2 roster player, and a B+ prospect in Hiroven. That's a lot of assets to get back in trade like this.</div></div>
at this point in the season its looking like well have our 2023 first dermott isnt better then any of our young d men, mikehyev isnt really what the hawks would be looking for moving hagel because wed be rebuilding and 27 years old doesnt fit our time line if we want mikheyev wed just wait till the offseason and as for hirovinen the ask is a top prospect sabres needed to move eichel hawks dont have to move hagel they would be more then happy to keep him so it would need to be an offer we cant refuse to pry him away

chicago isn't willing to part with him hence the high asking price cause every player has a price they arent shopping him so they would only accept Amirov + 1st for him most likely

Pay The Price
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>I'm pretty sure it was a 1st and a decent prospect (I interpret it as a B/B+ vs. A). That said, it's safe to assume the Hawks will want at least a 1st and top prospect so Amirov or Robertson plus a 1st would be the price at a minimum from the Leafs. As you well know, Hawks have no reason to move Hagel so any chance he gets moved will cost a 1st and top prospect and maybe more.</div></div>
as a hawks fan id do amirov and a first but not robertson and a first ive liked amirov and wanted hawks to pick him in that draft but leafs got to him first and im happy we have reichel but would be a dream to have both

I dont think fleury has personally rejected it we are currently hiring a gm atm so I think they arent trying to do a fleury trade till we get our guy and fleury has stated he doesnt wanna get moved anywhere yet so I dont know if its just the caps hed reject atm

Deadline Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockyluv21</b></div><div>You know that what I posted was, in rote, the rumored asking price for Hagel. They weren't asking for a surefire impact NHL player. They were asking for a 1st, a top prospect, and something extra. Now, because the first is likely to be late even in 2023, maybe the Canes can send another pick on top of it. It sounds like, though, that Hagel could very well be traded this deadline for a package similar to what I just posted.</div></div>
I feel like hawks would probably accept a first, koivunen and maybe something else if there is a prospect theyd want from canes it would def be koivunen
