Riiiiiiight. Because the Tatar experiment in Vegas went soooo well the first time. Let's bring him back to sit in the press box and give up one of the better defensive forwards in the league to do so.
I don't like to ditch posts but this one is just silly.

Mark Stone and the 2019 Trade Deadline
Like most trades at the deadline, you can't truly evaluate it this early. It will be years before we see how it all shakes down. But yes, when Stone was acquired we were all in a little shock and waited anxiously to find out "what else did we give up?"
But I sure hope the praise Dorian gave Brannstrom that fateful afternoon comes through for you guys. Honestly, I just don't know how a 5'9" 180lb d-man makes an NHL career. How does he move the average forward out from in front of the net? When VGK drafted him we were all saying the same thing "geez, I hope he's still growing". All that said, I wish that kid nothing but success and I hope he can figure out a way to stick.

Almost nothing was as satisfying as seeing them blow a 3-0 lead against SJ.
So, related to your title, «Vegas does what Vegas does»... well that would be throwing everything they have at overrated players... Patches and now Stamkos</div></div>
I hope someone gives you a hug and your day gets better.

How married to Lowry are Jets fans? Is there a deal to be had that involves Stastny, Marchy, Lowry & ????. Not sure if Laine has his bags packed yet, but could Marshy step in as a goal scoring winger for you guys?

Too many bodies and too much money coming back our way for Marshy. Probably has to be picks only, or just one body and a pick(s).

So, putting it another way, we're paying $6M for Perreault? If we have to do that I think we will just pay $6.5M for Paul. But thanks for offering to take $500K off our books.

If you really, <em>really</em> want AP, you have to shed salary which means you need to give away some guys and you can't ask for much in return because they're making it possible for you to sign the guy you want. You have to ask for less than you would for a hockey trade when you're trying to dump salary.</div></div>
Time will tell, right? The next few weeks will be crazy and I'm sure we should all expect the unexpected. I personally don't think AP is coming here and the media is just playing it up. A team like Winnipeg should be making the biggest pitch to land AP if you asked me.

The AP shuffle
If Lehner and AP are on the Vegas roster next year, the 3 names that are likely moved to make that feasible are Fleury, Stastny, and Marchy. I love all three of those guys but I don't see any other way. Tuch would require a hell of a return that most teams will not want to pay.

On game days everyone just stops what there doing and starts getting hyped for the game that night. Playoffs have a way of turning rational responsible adults into fumbling bumbling fools. I can't even remember most of the spring of 2018 LOL. And the party really never ended it just rolled in to the next day.
Definitely come down here when the world stops burning....T-Mobile is really a great experience, even a Tuesday against Florida! I have chatted with many visitor fans in the arena and most respond the same way...."I've never seen anything like this!" Oh, and when the Jets come to town there's an amazing Tragically Hip cover band (oddly, originally from Buffalo I think?) that performs outside in the Nine Fine Irishmen bar at NYNY....you gotta hear them.
BTW, Cody should be centering Stony and Patch next year...hopefully fans (including you) can watch that trio live soon.

That’s one of the best written posts I’ve read. And I think it’s bang on right from the title out.
Winnipeg fans deserve a winner.
If I had to choose to go see a game outside our T-Mobile Arena, in a city with knowledgeable, passionate, and non-pr*ck fans...I’m going to Bell MTS.

6 years at $1.9M is cheaper than Flower's buyout? One of us needs a new calculator.

I'd rather have the cap hit from buying out Flower ($2.5M, $3M, $2M, $2M) than the cap hit of Neal ($5.75M, $5,75M, $5.75M). Not to mention that Neal will be watching from the press box every night. So unless you want to retain on Neal, that trade would be pure silliness from a VGK perspective.

And given the fact that you could then flip Paul for a second at the TDL if things go off the rails next year in Buffalo, means he really didn't cost you anything.

Lehner
Pretty certain Paul will be more than willing to waive his NTC to go to Winnipeg....he fit in with you guys perfectly a couple years back.
But his situation is actually more unique than most. Because he turns 35 in 3+ months, he could be signed to an extension in January for the team he’s playing for. IF he’s willing to take a league minimum (35+ contract) plus bonuses, his value is considerably more.
And given the flat cap I have to think he will be more than happy to make $700k plus bonuses. So if I’m Winnipeg I’m probably willing to pay more than a 5th knowing that resigning him might cost peanuts.
But what do I know?

A Bunch of Flames Offseason Ideas I Have Rolled Into One ACGM- BUF Blockbuster
Your team actually looks scary good. You might get blasted by Flames fans for having both Freddy & Flower, but depth in net is never a bad thing (and Freddy is off the books next year so not a biggee).
I think VGK really considers that deal. However I think any move they make has to shed salary and shedding only 250K might not cut it. Unless they decide to flip Gio.
Well done...good post.

Tuesday we should be better prepped. Losing a game isn’t always a bad thing (long term). Don’t get me wrong, I wish we brought a better game and won. But as long as we know what we are facing now we can do this. Full marks to Dallas. To be honest I think Demko is still in the boys heads...they need to shake it off and reset.
