I get that Toronto fans have been offering bad deals but this is just horrendous.

So the actual price is 4 first round picks? Without a doubt Parayko is a great defenseman, but that package could get a Doughty. Ottawa would be running to accept the leafs offer if that was the return for Karlsson even if Karlsson was signed 5 more years. Realistically, Nylander for Parayko would be enough, but both teams dont need to make that trade so probably wont happened.

Likely makes more sense to just waive Marner than make this deal to be honest. If the blues would consider dealing Parayko (for what ever nonsense reason) it would likely be 2 1st round picks and a prospect going. But nothing for the two teams would make sense

This is completely laughable. Neither team is in a position to give up a major piece of their team right now. That’s why this trade didn’t go through, and yes they were in talks. The other issue is that St. Louis can’t afford to take on any cap, and really neither can Toronto. And can somebody please tell me how many Norris votes paryako received??? Hes a good defensemen no doubt, but he’s not even the best Dman in St. Louis. For every bad leafs trade I’ve seen a barrage of St. Louis fans who just over rate their own players. Nothing wrong with that, we all do it.

Here’s the thing. I get why he did this. Because it doesn’t make Sense for Saint Louis to trade him. So you have to overpay to get this might be overkill but I get the bases.

No it doesn’t, and yes they were thinking of moving paryako. That is why there were trade talks between the two teams. Both teams are in win this year mode so not good trade partners. Just because you think you are entitled to be overpaid doesn’t mean that you are and it certainly doesn’t somehow make a fair trade an unrealistic underpayment. I’ve seen a lot of your posts on here and you seem to have the idea that parayko is the second coming of Lidstrom, I just don’t see that. I think both our teams are fine as is.

A high end D prospect and young, elite winger is more than enough for Parayko. Throw in two firsts and you're out of your damn mind

you don't need to be triggered over what I said Armstrong knows. we are in win now.....we have built a team that we feel confident in.......do you think making a major move to screw D up is a good thing? No I don't

Not triggered in the least, you just seem to get pretty upset over every agm with parayko going to the leafs. It’s not like any of it is real or that trade is going to go through. They talked, couldn’t come to an agreement. Telling people to stop making agm’s with parayko being traded on every one where he is being traded seems like a tiring task. I agree with you about not wanting to give him up it wouldn’t be a good move, right now anyway.

I liked him in the few games I saw him play but parayko is not a first pair D even in st Louis and is not even close to a doughty, hedman, or karlson. if he shot left instead of right probably would not hear as much about him. righty, 25, and salary control for 4 yrs are the attractions. He might have a tough time in T O as the high expectations would be so hard for him to overcome. Probably end up like phanouf. who was only 2nd pair on every team he played for except the leafs. The other thing is that the blues are asking an arm and a leg . The leafs just got that arm and leg, so to give it up so soon would be difficult... blues are looking for scoring which means leafs would probably have to give up liljegrin, gardner, and kapanen depending if gardner extended with them. if he did then it would be a vast improvement with a 2nd pair 50 point guy on the left D complemented by 1st pair 50pt right D pietrangelo. At the moment the blues have little production coming from their left side D. dont see it happening but not sure if leafs can afford gardner next year either.

Making a fair deal for a player that you don’t want to give up isn’t trolling. And yes I’ve seen some bad deals too, but that goes for just about 3 out of 4 agms posted.

Nope I do not but most of the trades involve more than just gardiner, and like I said there are some bad ones. Gardiner was offered up with johnsson from what I’ve heard and st Lois passed and that was that. Problem is you are looking for a replacement for parayko and if a team did have a replacement... then why trade??? Parayko isn’t a great fit for Toronto either. We have a lot of rd prospects in our system. Better to be patient with them then to sell out our future.

I think these are the type of trades that made this warning necessary: “Non-constructive criticism posts such as "terrible", "not realistic", "lol" will be deleted and will receive an infraction”

But why even waste time trolling like that? This offer is seriously laughable even if it were Pietrangelo

There have been no talks between Toronto and St. Louis concerning Parayko. Berger, who writes some opinion pieces for Toronto, is a complete hack and has no sources.

He’s created a false buzz. He’s so illiterate that he failed to mention in his article the Blues addressed their offensive issues through FA and trades, not to mention Kyrou and Thomas looking to make the roster.

He’s a uninformed hack that wrote the article as click bait. Evidently click bait works because there’s a 100 Toronto fans here making dog **** offers for Parayko.

Do the same people that point out Parayko isn’t the best D on the Blues also call Malkin a #2C??

Or what about Matthews? Seriously he’s not even a #1 C hahaha

Pietrangelo is a top 10 D in the league. Parayko isn’t that far behind. If Parayko was a Leaf we would never hear the end about how great he is.

Matthews is our number #1c and I think comparing parayko to Matthews and Malkin is over rating him. I get your point that he would be a top pair Dman on a team without pietrangelo.

Not a chance of that happening. Makes no sense at all for either team.
