I agree with the first 2. If they're 50/50 if they can sign Hall at the deadline then it'll depend on a) where they are in the standings and b) the offers.

Are you putting Barkov behind McDavid and Crosby? I think a lot of people will agree with Barkov as the 3rd best C in the league ... i wouldn't put him ahead of MacKinnon (at least not right now) but it's arguable and some would. I think MacKinnon is mostly considered the better player than Barkov by a lot of people but some would rank Barkov ahead of MacKinnon ... some people would put him ahead of Sid i'm pretty sure (not me, though).

An NHL opinion most people disagree with: Marner is NOT being overvalued (In other words, most people agree that Marner is being overvalued; I apologize for the double negative, lol). I can try to make the case that he is worth Matthews/Tavares money, at least.

Yes, Marner and his agent have overvalued Marner. The opinion MOST PEOPLE disagree with is that Marner is NOT overvalued. I took the position that he is NOT overvalued by he and his agent. This is obviously a minority opinion.

I think you'd have a tough time finding 10 people who think Marner is worth $11M+ AAV. I think he is just as valuable as JT (if not more b/c he's younger). Dubas screwed himself long term when he gave into Nylander's ridiculous demands at the 11h hour and now Marner and his agent know they have Dubas in a vulnerable position if they hold out til Oct. Not only is Marner worth $11M but he's probably gonna get it, albeit on an 8 year deal. All my opinion.

i agree with this, i get tons of backlash on here for it but he has led the team in points back to back years and does it all, pp, pk, score, pass, backcheck.

I would say so. Marner is more reliable. Matthews is the goal scorer but Marner gave up scoring chances to get the better finisher the puck. i have no doubt that marner could also be a 40 goal 40 assist guy.

I'm not even saying Marner is worth $11M+, but he's worth at least as much as Tavares. So, if Tavares is worth $11M so is Marner.

IMO Doughty is extremely overrated defensively, and is nothing special offensively. Basically he’s not a #1 defenseman.
