Can’t say it’s a bad trade. I just have no idea on what I think about it. It’s close I’d think

Mittelstadt, Comtois, Steel, Lundestrom, Zegras, that's a pretty elite C corps althought Comtois and Lundestrom might move to wing.

Fowler on the right side along with with Manson, and about 17 NHL ready LD, it's good enough for now

Something that isn't immediately shot down by the other teams' fans is always a win in my book.

Sure, for a team probably looking to get a decent lottery spot they are fine as is. When they start wanting to compete again (maybe as soon as next year) they will want Fowler on his strong side without question. NHL ready does not mean top 4 ready.

You only need 3 Dmen to win in this league....

I was kind of trolling. I think you need more to get to the playoffs but once you get in you only need 3 guys playing great.

As for the original comment, sure you’d like Fowler on the left and sure, being NHL ready doesn’t mean top 4 ready but they also need to see if Guhle and/or Larsson are top4 Ds. You won’t know until you see them play in the NHL.

I feel like Rakell is definitely not on trading block, but for Mitdlestat AND Ristolienein I think it’s a bit fair

I don't think this is a trade that would actually happen (would love to be wrong) but it is great to hear these perspectives.

I personally think it is time to move on from Mittelstadt before his value tanks, the data looks really bad on him so far. There are moments in games where you can see some potential but those moments are very few and far between IMO and he has played up and down the lineup.

And, well, Risto will always be Risto; this team won't succeed in the long run with him playing 1st pair minutes and he apparently has all the voodoo because every coach he plays for puts him in that role, no matter that there are better options now.

By next year I could easily see Guhle Larsson and Mahura all being guys that would be in PIT's top 4 all on the left side, and Fowler has still played well on his off-side, even to the point of them playing him on the right when he's paired with a righty
