No reason for Detroit to make this deal, Doubt Yzerman moves Evgeny Svechnikov without getting at least one year look at him. Doubt Yzerman even qualifies Perlini and it's 50/50 that Bowey is even qualified as well.

Here I'll sort of simplify the trade for everyone

CAR:

OUT: Svechnikov, Mrazek, Geekie
IN: Laine, Bowey, Puljujarvi

WPG:

OUT: Laine, Perreault, Stanley
IN: Svechnikov, Svechnikov, Russell

EDM:

OUT: Puljujarvi, Chiasson, Russell
IN: Mrazek, Perreault, Perlini

DET:

OUT: Bowey, Svechnikov, Perlini
IN: Stanley, Chiasson, Geekie

Hope this helps!

Imo this needs some work, but if that was the case with Perlini and Bowey, shouldn't they do this trade and gain assets from these guys?

I feel like if you traded Andrei Svechnikov you have lost the trade.

Buffalo likely says yes if we can't make a bigger deal for a forward.

Detroit would probably not want to do this, they are probably the worst off team in this trade, and in a time right now where they are rebuilding, they won't want to trade their prospects. Also, I don't think NYR would ever do this. All this being said, take it with a grain of salt, I'm a flames fan and just trying to put myself in these teams shoes. I could be very wrong.

No need to give up assets, If there's a chance to sign them for free. Bowey probably gets resigned as the 7th D but i doubt Perlini gets qualified.

Svech >>>>> Laine. Svech is the only player here who may be a franchise level player, that includes Laine.

I think WPG makes out like bandits......

Although I feel like Laine and A. Svech will have similar careers. Jets basically give up a 1LW and a bottom 6 guy for a 1RW and a #5 dman. Seems like they win on that. Stanley and E. svech are both busts and cancel each other out.

Edmonton rejects. They can get a better backup in free agency, maybe even with a smaller cap hit. Perreault is a 4th line winger and Perlini is an AHL winger, those guys are also available in free agency for near under $1M each.

As much as I like Patty this would be a no brainier for the Jets. Svech is already a better overall player and not even 20 yet.

Niederreiter could be the #2 RW if he could regain his 2014-'18 scoring touch.
If not he would slip to #3 RW, If he is the #3RW, that would make our #3 & #4 RW salaries over $11,000,000/year.
I think he would be really good in Buffalo, but I am inclined to say no.
