If Barzal leaves

Description
MTL offer sheets Barzy at 12M which I think is where the islanders start to seriously consider to not match

A lot goes down in this. Not sure about the NJD trade, although I feel it is close. Also not sure about TBL trade. Was hard to find a value on what the rights for him would be

You might be better off with Ho-Sang he has played a few NHL games and there is a chance that Bracco never does.

Management here is not too fond of him. He has off the ice issues. Not drugs or women but just being immature and that doesn't work with Barry and Lou. He won't want to come back so might as well swap rights and Bracco is a LI guy so that'd be a nice story

I think the Leafs would be looking into a defenseman instead of a forward. One of the reasons Bracco hasn't made the NHL is because Toronto has massive forward depth.

NYI dont have capspace, thus why an offersheet on Barzal would have a chance of succeeding. CLB has plenny, they would match any offer for PLD. Fogeeeetabodiiiit

I most certainly did. Barzal will probably cost four first rounders, which I do not want to give up. Dubois might be the tier below(and, as I mentioned before, he’s French)

Dubois IS definitely a tier below Barzal and when did being French make you play better on ice? Or you just want it for the marketing factor? I think the goal is to win the cup which Barzal would impact more.

Don't see the Kings giving up 2 4th round picks for a cap dump.

Leddy isn't a cap dump. He is still a great transitional defenseman and a top 4D man on most NHL teams

no he won't. Why wouldn't Columbus match anything but 10.5mil? And why does it matter that he is french? Barzal is the better player and Dubois is a 60-70 point player.

2.5M for 3 more years and sodestrom has a .920 Sv% in international juniors the past 2 seasons

Detroit and LA have no reason to accept those trades to help you out of your cap mistakes. No chance you get Cirelli for that either. A bit of fantasyland here I think.

LA needs a D man to pair w Doughty, Detroit will be getting a draft pick and prospect for a low cap hit of 2.5M and tampa has cap issues and if they cannot resign Cirelli this is what he is worth with the current market

3 yrs not what wings prefer but the pick & if accurate goalie stats might be worth the cap bite...so close to a deal ..wings might want conditional 2nd..but close enough

LA is going to develop players internally. Not trade away picks for an overpaid player from somewhere else to take minutes away. If they need a veteran minute eater they'll sign a UFA for cheap, they aren't looking to compete right now.

Tampa does have cap issues. They will not resolve them by trading one of their best young players to you. They will trade away somebody they don't want with a high salary and attach picks. Kind of like your team is doing in other cases...

Detroit is not getting a draft pick and a prospect. Detroit is getting to move up a round in the draft and are getting a 23 year old ECHL goalie. I mean, he's a prospect because he's not in the NHL, but his odds of being a contributor in the big leagues are very low. I doubt very much that moves the needle to take on that salary.

Then I guess we agree to disagree because I think that's inaccurate in every case

The Islanders are going to have to move some big contracts due to cap constraints. Not many teams can take on Leddy's cap hit for the next two years. This would be a cap dump since they aren't taking any salary back. All the other posts I've see from Islanders fantasy GM's are asking for either a 6th or 7th round back. If someone offer sheets Barzal and Lou matches, you will have to move out players and big contracts to fill out the rest of the team.

At 5 x $4.5m Cirelli stays in Tampa.
