Description

Buffalo= needs defense (cbj small salary dump)

Leaves= Goalie+depth defense + josh anderson who leaves fans seem obsessed with. CBJ gets scoring

Ottawa= needs to hit cap floor, wennberg cap dump plus change of scenery+kukan upside offensive d-man. Balcers is latvian so give us more latvians.

Chicago= Stan bowman trying to save his job and gets jenner and bemstrom as another candidate to finish those sweet cross ice passes from PK.

Don't see your Buffalo or Pittsburgh trades happening, and I don't want to give up Bemstrom unless we're bringing in something that can help right now. But I love the hustle.

Buffalo actually has a top 10 D at 5v5 it’s the PK that is very bad. They won’t trade UPL he’s one of the best goalie prospects.

Ottawa would very easily say no, then no, and then no again. To take Wennberg's contract they'll ask for some compensation, not a bottom pairing D that's yet to play a full season in the NHL. They absolutely won't be giving up a 23 year old PPG AHL player that projects as a middle 6 winger (or a 3rd liner at worst) and has had success at the NHL level already in his short career.

In what world does Buffalo hand over Luukkonen for a 3rd pairing LD? With the goaltending tandem Columbus already has they would be the last team to need him anyway. I suppose with that in mind the only way you’re getting him is if you’re sending Elvis to Buffalo.
