It’s not. Byram is an A+ prospect but absolutely unproven. What if you do Laine for Byram and Byram busts completely, it would be a disaster. There has to be more to the trade.

Stone was traded for Brannstrom + Depth player and 2nd. Ottawa should’ve gotten a 1st but they were running out of time to make a deal. Laine is much younger than Stone was. And Brannstrom at the time was one of the best prospects out there hyped up like Sandin and Lundkvist are now

I don't think Boston take that deal. If Krug walks and they trade Carlo, there goes their entire 2nd pairing from this year. That basically means they are going to have to HEAVILY lean on McAvoy and Grz, which isn't smart. Sure Chara could come back, but he's not going to take on a bigger workload. Not to mention Carlo is his PK partner and take a lot of pressure off Chara, so who fills that role? When Chara calls it a career they now have no PK horse on the backend because that is what Carlo is and going to be. Studnicka is Boston's best Center prospect and its an area where they need to start grooming guys for the future, trade Studnicka doesn't seem like a smart idea with their lack of quality young centers.
