Chinakhov is good, but projected 3rd-4th Round. I thought maybe 2nd round, but this is a huge stretch. I mean Calgary was looking at him with the 72nd pick.

Chinakov's offensive impact his impressive. He moves the puck quickly, supports the play well, and seems very aware of his options. His puck skills are high-end; he makes body fakes and quick cuts to force defenders to move their feet and open space. He consistently read opposing breakouts to intercept pucks.

He reads the game well and can anticipate the opposition’s moves, allowing him to use his stick for maximum disruption, McKeen's Hockey 2019.

It’s a stretch but 6 pts in 11 khl games as a 19 ur old can’t be overlooked. Might have been a gem. Similar production (of he can sustain) includes the likes of kucherov and kuznetsov btw so it might be the steal of the draft

Honestly highest I saw anyone interested in him was 72nd pick Calgary in the third. And he wasn't even in the Top 93 for McKeen. So that was just a completely odd pick in general.

SMH. Jacket land is now Just hoping That he is much closer to Kucherov or Kutznetsov than Zherdev or Filatov.

He probably was on a lot more teams’ radar this year, but in 3rd or 4th round. Jackets scout extensively in Europe, and know what they’re doing. He must show flashes of Panarin for them to take him that high. There were 2 trade-downs above the Jackets, both generating a 3rd round pick. They could have traded down once or twice and still gotten him at 30 with a couple extra picks in the 80-100 range.
