Kings won't do that without more compensation and I doubt MacDermid is the Kings player going the other way.

To be honest if I'm Barzal and signing an 8 year contract I'd want more than that. I'd accept that cap for 5 years.

Ladd is a pure cap dump (if he doesn't retire) and Komarov isn't much better, so what you have going with them isn't going to get you an NHL player. Maybe a sixth or seventh, at best.

The ducks want nothing to do with that trade. Getting negative value for Heinen is bad.
