It won't be Stamkos. Ovechkin is a better bet, and probably some others that i can't remember

Looks pretty solid tbh, I just think that Korpisalo will play too many games for Merzlikins to be in Vezina contention

i dont think mark stone or barkov will be finalist for the selke ryan o'reilly will probably be a finalist cause he won last year and either bergeron or kopitar will be the third or both and couturier ends up not being a finalist

Overall I agree with most of these, but Stamkos can no longer produce that many goals at this stage in his career, and I was expecting to see McDavid for the Hart, but I like the unique choice of putting Petterson there.

Lol why is Mikko Lehtonen on the Calder list. He's 27, he's not eligible. That's some Sergei Makarov nonsense

Lehtonen over Vilardi is funny, but I remember your silly stance on him.

FWI, A LOT of people have Vilardi as a finalist.

I honestly don't even know if there's a age limit for Calder or not, but if there is then you might as well replace him with Ty Smith for example. Think he'll be having a solid year, provided NJ brings him in.

If Stammer plays the first line with Point and Kuch he has a chance. I'd say he's the best natural goal scorer of the bunch.

I'm betting on CBJ trying to make Merzlikins the clear cut 1G of the team. Would make sense to give him the role now and use it as leverage in negotiations as his contract is expiring in two years and he's becoming UFA, and I can't see them wanting yet another Bobrovsky situation on hand. I think they'll trade Korpisalo eventually "out of his way" in a sense.

Just trying something different here. ROR and Bergeron are always in contention...

McDavid is a Hart finalist if EDM makes the playoffs, but ultimately I can't see it happening. Their defense was their biggest weakness last year and they haven't really upgraded that department. Barrie brings nothing but offense, but as long as they can't defend for their life it all becomes meaningless. They can score 300 goals but it doesn't matter if they let in 400...

Silly stance, huh?

Vilardi's good, not denying it. Just don't trust the Kings to be good enough team to provide the results. But we'll see.

I'm banking a lot on Lehtonen. I'm a fan of his work. He played several years for my home team here in Finland and I'm betting hard on him here. But if there's an age limit for Calder I didn't know about then it's a moot point.

Players must be no more than 26 years old by 15 September of their rookie season to be eligible for the trophy.

He's legible unless they change the rule for the new season.

Alright. I'll drop him of for now.

Thanks for the info.

Could very well make it to the TOP3 but I'm predicting positions 4-6.

Ty Smith?😂😂 I'm starting to believe you just have something against Vilardi as a person😂

Byfield will be on the Kings after the World Juniors FWI, I still think Vilardi will get it over him.

Nah, I'm just banking on a D making to the top3. Vilardi in there wouldn't surprise me that much, but as I said I don't trust the Kings to provide good enough support for the guy.

Smith's performance in WHL last year was great. No guarantee of him keeping it up in NHL, but in a team like NJ there's not much competition, he could very well make it a first pair D there and prove people wrong. Naturally same applies to Vilardi as well.

Still the only current NHL player with Ovi to be able to score 60 in one season. Maybe I'm biased but I still see the huge potential and goal scoring prowess in him, and he's getting now more help than ever before in terms of linemates.

Snoozing on Cozens for Calder. Kruger said he'll play RW and that likely means on the 2nd line with Staal and Skinner. He will definitely outperform Smith

As said in previous comments, I'm banking on a D making the top3. Cozens is a more likely option, but I wanted to try something different.

Btw are you sure that he isn't eligible? Because the rule is, as previously mentioned, that a player who is 26 or under in Sep 15 of the year he plays his rookie year in the league is still eligible. That notion would apply to Lehtonen, he's 26 until January 16...

If McDavid is second in the Art Ross and Ted Lindsay, I don’t see how he’s not a finalist for the hart. Just because he has the points doesn’t mean he wins it but I think he would be a finalist. Especially with petey and eichel not in the race for any of the other awards.
