Larsson.

Better sample size. Has been better for longer. Obviously part of the most memed trade in recent NHL history... but he's still a solid top 4 defenseman and probably will be until he retires.

I don't think trading one for the other makes sense...

Holl might eventually prove to be better, but his limited sample sized, mixed with how he only is any good with Muzzin, raises the red flags for me. I don't think Holl has done well enough in his small amount of time at a higher level to warrant more value in a trade.

Larsson for sample size. Right now Holl because Larsson has been bad. All in all I'd say its close to even but when you take the cap into account I'd keep Holl.

Every Leaf fan who doesn't **** bag their own players is a Leaf troll. Holl was better last year and has been really good this year. Larsson has legit been terrible for 2 full seasons and already Oiler fans have been complaining. He's also making more than double Holl. Holl is a better skater, can handle the puck better, and is a better passer. This isn't trolling, it's just fact.

I think Larsson is better. And I’m a big supporter of Holl. Larsson is just part of a bad system. He was also always looked at as number 1-2 d man in EDM because he was traded for Taylor Hall. But in reality he is a very reliable 4th, maybe 3rd d man.

Please let's not talk about a the distance past. In 2019/20 Holl was the Leafs third best Dman. Gotta say he definitely was better than Larsson. At 2m versus 4.1m, Holl is excellent value.
This year who knows. But gotta if they go by last years performance, Holl will be better and certainly better value, with his contract.
And it certainly is nonsense that Holl can only play well with Muzzin.
If Larsson wasn't traded for Hall, he would just be an unknown middling Dman. Holl was late bloomer so many on this site don't know him, so they think he isn't a competent NHLer.

If u want is all defense, great on the pk but provides little offense or puck mover Larssons your guy.

If you want a puck moving 2-way dman who can be a top 4 with the right partner, move the puck well, and be good on your pk Holls your guy

What are you talking about? Larsson hasn't been good for years and never was. He's slowed down this year and looks worse. Not saying Holl is a huge upgrade, but he's an upgrade. He can actually skate and keep up with the league for starters. Holl has a for better contract. And Holl can play with good players better (Larsson he had trouble even fitting in with Klefbom, Nurse, etc). Holl has been good with Muzzin and Rielly. Holl isn't a pair cairinf guy, but he's an excellent complimentary guy. Larsson has become just a guy. Could easily see him shipped off for just a pick to clear the cap space soon
