It goes without saying that I think other teams have as well. Now the question is which teams can satisfy what the CBJ want. This won't be a futures-only deal. I think Columbus wants this to be a hockey deal if/when they proceed.

PDL is a great player don't get me wrong, but I don't think he's good enough to be a 1C. I think he'd be a really good 2C, one of the leagues best, but he's just not top line caliber ya know?

A Rossi-dubios would be a solid combo long term. The wild have the prospect depth on wings to take the loss too. They should be the team at the top of the PLD bidding imo.

You are going to have to add quite a bit to fiala though. Definitely not as much as a high end roster player but maybe a good d prospect.

I hear ya, I don't want to trade him. But if Jarmo wants a hockey trade I don't know who else he'd be interested in. They have no need for Dumba, we aren't moving any of our other top 4 D, Kaprizov is likely off the table, and none of our other forwards are valuable enough to get us PLD.

Fiala imo doesnt get you PLD 1 for 1. He's older and not as good. just my opinion but teams would probably offer more

So I'm thinking Fiala plus Bonino 1/2 retained could be a nice offer. When Columbus moves PLD they will have a giant hole at center. Bonino is not a equal but he doesn't hurt you either.

Bonino is probably a no-go. Doesn't make a ton of sense to acquire him and then ship him off after four games.

Might be looking at Erikson-Ek in Columbus wants a centre back.

He's a rental, not a long term solution. If you can get an upgrade like PLD send off the rental is an easy call.

I don't think Jarmo intends to let PLD go for a rental centre. It's their weakest position and having the top three guys on the depth chart as UFA in the next season or two isn't ideal.

I'm sure when Guerin acquired Bonino, he didn't consider PLD was going to be available. Bonino would be gone in an instant if that's the roster player along with whatever else Columbus wants to get the deal done.



He wouldn't be letting him go for a rental center. He'd be letting him go for whatever is included with Bonino. Bonino is just someone to get them through the year and if they want, they can extend him.

Not getting EK and Fiala. I agree they would love Ek but him and Fiala is too much.

The 4 games doesn't matter, Minnesota only acquired Bonino for a culture change and to move him for futures before the trade deadline was never likely to be long term.

That's why Rossi will probably be headed to CBJ in any PLD trade. Bonino is the stopgap center for this year and a cap equalizer.

You think the Wild would move Rossi for PLD? I mean I guess a bird in hand is worth two in the bush, but I'm hoping to keep him. In the end I guess it will take quality to get quality just wish Wild could move Dumba or a wing instead.
