Ryan Nugent is a free agent in the off-season. Give me one good reason why wild would trade Greenway who they can get 1st round pick if they made him available & also for Bonino, a 2nd round pick & prospect or 1st round pick for Ryan Nugent whose a fre agent seeking 6-7 mil or more per year? Wild aren't going to trade for any player becoming a fre agent who they will need to protect in expansion @SomeonesOffended

While I agree, the optics of this trade would be horrible for the team. Greenway had a heart to heart conversation with Guerin in his exit meeting where Guerin told him he needs to be more professional and take hockey seriously. Greenway definitely listened cause he looks awesome this season and you can tell he's faster and more engaged. If we traded him away after that improvement, that tells the team that it doesn't matter what we say we want from you and it could discourage guys from making necessary improvements. It's also probobaly on the lighter side of what EDM could get for Nuge.

You are valuing free agents too much. Nugent-Hopkins is a good second line maybe first on some teams and puts up a good 50 or 60 points a season consistently. You're getting Bonino who is expiring too and you also get Greenway who hasn't really done anything yet making 2 mil.
