"Dallas needs to figure out a way to get better starts. They've scored just five first-period goals in 21 games this season (for context, the Oilers lead the league with 28 first-period goals through 28 games)."
-Emily Kaplan, ESPN
Now, tell me how many egregious errors were made in this 2 sentence write-up? ESPN should really hire a proofreader or at least someone who watches hockey! OMG terrible!
And this is just the Stars write-up. I haven't checked the other 30 teams. Or are there 50 teams in the NHL?
Sharks games have been postponed. Luckily 1 single player is in protocol
Per Kevin Kurz, no name and nor should their be any jump to conclusions on if it’s actually COVID or any tracing etc. Currently the coming games are TBD (only Thursday’s Vegas game is for sure postponed for now).
No mention thats this affects the Wild from what I’ve seen.
Sorry should have specified. Not Calgary as I understand nothing would be of interest and I don’t really think the upgrade at 1C from Lindholm to Eichel is worth the cost. Just from any team
Yea, I plan to do a list on here, if you do one I will edit what I see fit🤷🏼♂️ I've just been really busy with work lately so haven't got round to it.
There's a good name. Does having a French coach really matter to the media and fans, or is it really just MB's desire? I know the French-speaking media asks their pre/post game questions in French.

It's almost certainly positive test(s). If it was just contact tracing the majority of the team would be out unless a family member of oe of the players tested positive. The the Devils had like 19 players o the list, it's believed that all had tested positive.
That's what I'm saying. How may Québecois don't speak or understand English? I don't see why having a bilingual coach should be such an important factor, but it definitely is.

Because players, media, management will be partially French and it helps with the optics and as @SevenLeg has said on Twitter you can be a good coach and be French they don’t have to come separately
You're definitely right. The 3/4 was the deciding factor for sure. But, I don't see how a new coaching staff is gonna help Price stop the puck. And if this team is gonna do anything more than a 1st round loss they need Price to step it up. Like seriously, he was so good in the bubble. What gives?
The reason we were losing games wasn’t because of Price. Sure he hasn’t been at his best, but none of our losses were on Carey. We’ve been losing games because of a lack of discipline and terrible play on special teams. Ducharme will hopefully give the players a wakeup call, as usually happens whenever a coach is fired, and implement some new strategies to help this team get back to their game from the 1st 9 games instead of the most recent 9 games.
And Carey hasn’t been at his best, but I’m not worried, since he’s always shown that he can be at his best when the games matter the most.

Thanks for the clarification. Haven’t done much looking into all the covid protocols and some of it is confusing to be exact with (plus the sharks hadn’t had this internally happen yet this season).
So I assume they already have tried to trace and resulted in just a single player being held back for now? With the rest of the team just in protocol?

It's a flawed system b/c it generally takes a couple days for an infected person to test positive. For example, you play for the sharks and on Monday you play a game. On Tuesday morning you test positive. Now, everyone on the team has likely bee exposed b/c you didn't know you were infected and had no symptoms. That's exactly what happened to the Devils and Sabres. By the time Palmieri had tested positive, 18 other players had been exposed and most, if not all, were infected. I think the Sharks are acting extremely cautiously in order to avoid what happened with the Devils.
