Why would Boston trade for McCabe? He's a UFA at seasons end and coming of a serious leg injury may not even be ready for the start of next season

So much awful, where do you even begin? Every single trade here is absolutely horrible for the Sabres. And no one is trading for McCabe because he isn’t going to play the rest of the year.

The Avs decline that. But what has me puzzled is BUF ACGM’s and Montour, I’ve seen guys give him away and then seen some that look reasonable didn’t BUF give up a 1st a couple of years ago to get him?

Wild want zero part of Staal.... even for an injured MarJo. BG cleared out the locker room for a reason (Mikko, Staal, Dubnyk) and he almost moved Parise. He would probably move both 11 and 20 if he could. Staal seems like a great guy, had some good years here but they are done.
