Reinhart might think he is the best Calgary forward and you have signed him to a 5.4m. I would think he just signs a qualifying offer and goes to UFA in 22/23

If it makes you feel better i kinda like it for buf, mostly because i think Reinharts gonna want way more money and doesn't really wanna be in buf. Also your taking skinners contract so that opens up our cap a lot. Leaves a huge hole in our top 6 but it could be filled. I don't think your getting the 4th outta me tho, your getting the best player.

the fact that anyone is saying buffalo doesn’t take this in a heartbeat is proof that no trade in here will ever be good enough. He literally has the 2nd worst contact in the entire league, in literally every non-sabres fan’s opinion he has negative value equivalent to eichel’s positive value, and this was before the reports that eichel’s positive value is lower than we all thought. Give your head a shake, calgary doesn’t take this if you remove monahan and add a 1st going to calgary, and that’s on pure value, before you account for the cap not working

Kylington is a 7th dman and Monahan is a downgrade why would they do it, just because Reinhart wants out? The can get legitimate offers. If theyre rebuilding again what does Skinners cap matter, theirs 17 mill coming off the books with Eichel and Reinhart and no UFAs are heading to Buffalo

Its the equivalent of 4 1st rounders for Gaudreau, Philly would pay less by offering him a RFA offer. Take out Frost so its Patrick and two 1sts and it still looks too much, maybe not without retention, but even then its not what PHilly needs for them to move so many futures.

I think Philly might be tempted for Tkachuk, but not Gaudreau.
