What I think aadoyle is saying, though, is that if you trade some of the core, it might mean Leafs fans need to be even more patient.
Not trading them all and not for an ol'- bag-o-chips.
Make a hockey trade ffs - a good guy goes out (he just sucks in the playoffs/needs a change) for a good guy or two back...

I'm just saying that if people really want them to win "now", trading those guys might not be a good idea ... it depends what they get offered. We can't judge whether or not they "should" be traded or not because we have no idea what they're going to get for him.
Sure, we can say "if they get this offer then trade him", but there could be people complaining at the end of the offseason saying, "Why didn't you trade this guy?" when maybe they just didn't get a good enough offer, and had they taken the deal, people would be complaining, saying it was a terrible trade.
I went through a picked the top 6 most valuable players from each team ordered from most valuable to least. Did this pretty quick so what do you think who did I miss, what orders are wrong?

By the way, there's 8 Carolina players and 5 Montreal players ... maybe there's a reason for that that I'm missing, or maybe it was a mistake, idk

I’m assuming this is in terms of trade value. I’d put KK ahead of Romanov, but that’s just nitpicking. I’d also put Toffoli, Gallagher, Petry, and Price ahead of Anderson. I’d say:
Toffoli gets the edge over the others because he’s making just over $4 million and scored at a 44 goal pace this year. Jeff Petry is a #1D on a great contract and Gallagher is the heart of the team. Price is making a lot of money, but he’s our franchise goalie and he’s worth every penny. He would be higher on the list, but I understand that goalies don’t have as much trade value as they should.
Before each series this is my predictions
Colorado in 5
(Bold Prediction: Mackinnon will outscore the whole Vegas team)
Tampa over Carolina in 6
(Bold Prediction: Vasilevskiy will have 3 shutouts in 3/4 of their wins.)
Boston in 6
Habs in 6
Vezina and Ted Lindsay have disrespected Saros already.... Hart will surely follow and if anything else could disrespect him I’m sure it would jump at the chance
Meh, it was a fine swing at the time. Hindsight is 20/20, but most people were pretty thrilled with that pick. One of the worst draft pick announcements of all time, though.
"Tronna proud to 'nounce, from Sweden, Timith Linagrin"
I have a feeling Liligren is graduating and its gonna be very interesting to see him. He looked good with a bad marlies team and honestly has put on some size and has been more of a physical presence. I would love to see him and Sandin on the pp as I have been preaching Dman should be tried on a leafs pp as many other teams have showed it works
I hate the Leafs fans who are like «tRuE fAnS sTiCk WiTh ThEiR tEaM aNd FaNs WhO wAnT dRaStIc ChAnGeS aRe NoT tRuE fAnS»
So just because people are «fans» means they can't criticize anything????
That's the dumbest thing ever. Criticizing overrated players who didn't show up (yet again) doesn't make you a fake fan
Large sects of the Oilers fanbase *AND MEDIA* have this opinion too. I simply chalk it up to stupidity and the inability to form their own thoughts. The media here are outright shills at best. I'm with my team ride-or-die but I'm under no obligation to celebrate mediocrity or archaic mindsets. If anything, fans that are critical of their team probably care more.

It's a business - right now business is not good.
GMs job is too build a winning club.
Leafs just aren't that club - plain and simple.
12UFAs & 1RFA signal a huge roster turnover without trading core - but little money in the till to improve the lot by UFAs-alone.
I'm in the "Dubas is out of his league camp" - I look elsewhere If I'm the owner...
he can't say anything other than the politically correct answer, which he did.
Come on man, this is basic
Not rly tho. He knows Marner won’t be traded and that media is making a scene, so he just tells them to have fun with something they know and everyone knows won’t happen.
I found it funny that he didn’t feed into it at all or let it get in his or anyone else’s head

That’s what any hockey player should say when asked about a teammate. Standard procedure
