He’ll realize his life will be better on a discount in Tampa then full anywhere else. No way he signs an offer sheet. Why would he walk away from $9M to play hockey on the best team in the world in Tampa Bay and no state taxes to go to a significantly worse city with a terrible team and more taxes just to have a higher cap hit and make fractionally more money when he already has more of that than he knows what to do with?

Habs fans were literally calling for head before game 5. Might as well just give it to Price for saving his job. The Canadiens should be counting their blessings they've gotten this far.

Anyone want to bet against Point taking $9.5 million x 8 years? Vasy and Kucherov both earn that as the highest paid players in Tampa, and I don't get the feeling Point is going to have a contract dispute with BriseBois if he's offered the same deal.

if i'm being honest (and you have permission to mock my ignorance), i only learned of pelech this playoff and don't know many isles in general. mad respect though, not hearing of defensemen is usually a good thing lol. i'm definitely looking a lot harder at that team now, debunking my personal biases and admitting the bubble wasn't a fluke. anyone else getting a face-turn vibe from the isles in this series?

Leo Komarov is having a negative impact on the Islanders.

Not because he isn't a good player. He is a good player.

Because Trotz keeps playing him with Barzal instead of Wahlstrom/Palmieri.
