I think that was the idea behind protecting 4 D-men (V-Hed, McDonagh, Sergachev and Cernak), all 4 are crucial PK'ers. (In addition to the fact that they need to shed one of Killorn/Palat/Johnson/Gourde's contracts).

Tanev to Seattle, ZAR or Pettersson are better picks imo
Gourde to Seattle, better be a side deal involved or else Tampa got major help with their cap problem for free

Speaking of which, Lightning are going to have a lot of youth auditioning for jobs next year. Cal Foote will be aiming for the 6th D-man spot (with David Savard likely on the way out), Ross Colton will get a bigger workload, Mathieu Joseph could become a regular 4th liner, and Mitchell Stephens and Alex Barre Boulet will be looking to prove they can produce on a regular basis.

I know people are going to say Seattle is dumb for not taking Price, but I think it's a good decision. Price is still a good goalie but 10.5x5 + 11M bonus will be insane for the Kraken to take.
