I get why they are upset but in a sense Leafs gain and lose nothing lul

Dubas paid Hallander and a 7th to keep Kerfoot and Holl rather than spend a 1st and 3rd

Like if we put it into perspective if Kerfoot went to Seattle Toronto would have gave away Kadri for nothing

Edit: Also pick was selected via fish but not confirmed to be actual pick. Dont really care who gets taken as in the end we keep a 3c candidate.

Price was a win win for Seattle. They either gamble on Prices health and have a playoff goalie. Or they leave 10.5m with term alone who could realistically not finish the contract and let Montreal keep him as intended.

I liked Kerfoot in the playoffs and I think its pretty clear if Kerfoot gets proper line mates he will do much better. That and he was pretty good on the penalty kill and has that chippy character we need. If i'm Dubas my priority is to get Kerfoot some better line mates

As I looked at all his previous line mates from both Toronto and Colorado and man the only time Kerfoot ever was on a good line was Jost-Kerfoot-Compher. All their numbers were really good lul

Plus Kerfoot is very movable considering rn he only makes 750k and there are some teams who want to save actual dollars.
