I was in the uneducated category when I first joined, but it seems like there's just no urgency to learn at times in the ACGMs. You see the same people posting the same crap and just lose your mind trying to explain the same thing over and over again. I feel like everyone who's ever stumbled into the forums and stayed, at the very least, has motivation to learn.

100%. My first Armchair GM team, as I’m sure is the same with others if weird AF. The forums includes the mostly veteran users, although it can be extremely frustrating to see the same user posting the same ridiculous crap in Armchair GM for the 100th time. (That number isn’t even an exaggeration for some people.)

Every Teams Trade Bait (top 3 from each team, not including UFAs)

Canadiens
Allen
Chairot
Drouin

Well there’s a 0% chance that any of them get traded, although you could make the argument that, other than UFAs, they’re the 3 players that have the highest chance of not being back next year. (Allen & Chiarot because of the expansion draft, Drouin because of unknown personal reasons)

If we’re only including roster players under contract, the only option would probably be Brett Kulak. (Or Paul Byron in a Brooks Orpik type of move where he’s brought back after being bought out)

I think Yzerman would get more out of a Bertuzzi. My guess is that it will be similar to the Mantha trade

difference is Mantha didnt go through back surgery. Mantha also had a contract in place with 3.5 years set (half a year with detroit rest with wsh) at 5.7mill so no negotiation was necessary for a new deal. If he didnt have a contract probs would have been Mantha for Vrana in a 1 for 1. Also the 2nd was to move out Panik's contract. Bertuzzi on the other hand needs a new contract and had serious surgery. That can hurt the value of a player.

Allen will likely be taken by Seattle but I wanted to include him
I've seen Chariot being dealt in Habs recent ACGMs and it makes sense with the amount of depth they have at LHD (prospects and players)
Wasn't too sure about Drouin but maybe a team takes a chance on him

I agree that Bertuzzi has less value. I was trying to say that the structure of the trade will be similar. Maybe Amirov+1st for Bertuzzi (extended)

Now thats something that can be worked with and will probs be the offer. Really depends on what Yzerman wants. He may want 3 B prospects over a single A. Who knows rn.

I think so. I seen something about that. Lets Say Flames expose Derek Ryan(which they should) they can talk to them before the draft and if they sign him he is there pick

Are we talking about real life, or Armchair GMs though? Bergevin isn’t trading the guy who logged the most time of anyone on the team (besides Carey Price) in a run to the cup finals, no matter what any fans think.

Not moving Drouin isn’t about his lack of value, it’s because the habs don’t want to trade him.

Well I’d agree that moving on from Chiarot makes the most sense but MB probably won’t

So basically the Blackhawks organization is admitting their guilt. Bowman and everyone else who knew about this needs to be fired immediately.

Hey Seattle Kraken, if you are seeing this please don’t take our first line left winger in the expansion draft Leo Komorav because we really need Leo Komorav as Leo Komorav, our elite 1st line left wing, is integral to our success

You could say he’s the reason why the Islanders made it to JUST the ECF, that’s pretty good!

Sounds like a steal!

I had already made a post about it before (“NBA Type Offseason”) but the NHL really is gonna have a unreal offseason.

Available Players Tier’d with odds of moving=
*quick rundown - Tarasenko is a extremely risky acquisition because it could bite the team acquiring him in the butt, he has potential overpay because some dumb gm may buy high*

S Tier:
Eichel - I’d say 90% he moves (medium risk, his neck) (overpay potential)

1st OA BUFFALO- not a player but 50% this moves

3rd OA ANAHEIM - not a player but 60% this moves

A Tier:
Evander Kane - 60% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Gaudreau - 50% he moves (low risk) (steal potential)
Danault - 50% he leaves MTL (only risk is overpay)
Hyman - 90% he leaves TOR (only risk is overpay)

Kuznetsov - 80% he moves (medium risk) (overpay potential)

Tarasenko - 90% he moves (EXTREMELY risky) (overpay potential)

Seth Jones - 85% he moves (low risk) (overpay potential)

Malkin - 50% he moves (medium high risk) (overpay potential)

Hamilton - 65% he leaves CAR (only risk is overpay)
Laine - 50% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Reinhart - 70% he moves (low risk)

MA Fleury - 85% he moves (high risk) (overpay potential)

Kuemper - 65% he moves (medium risk)
McDonagh - 60% he moves (medium low risk) (steal potential)
10th OA SENS - not a player but 50% chance this moves

B Tier:
Stamkos - 35% he moves (very high risk) (overpay potential)
Brent Burns - 25% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Hall - 50% he leaves BOS (medium high risk)
Monahan - 50% he moves (high risk)
Giordano - 50% he moves (medium low risk)

OEL - 75% he moves (high low risk) (overpay potential)

Raanta - 85% he leaves ARI (high risk) (overpay potential)
Klefbom - 40% he moves (near extreme risk, retire potential)
Tuch - 60% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Killorn - 50% he moves (low risk) (steal potential)
Palat - 65% he moves (medium risk)

Olofsson - 60% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)

C Tier:
Krejci - 65% he leaves BOS (medium risk)
Johnson (Tyler) - 90% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)

The percentages on Danault, Malkin, Drouin, Holtby, & Stamkos are way too high IMO. Also if you’re including Chiarot at 45%, then Allen should be at 50%, and he’s a better player than Chiarot, since the only way either of them move is the expansion draft. And a lot of these I can understand if I squint, but I have no idea why Vincent Trocheck is here.

Also, there’s no risk if Krejci leaves Boston, because as far as I know the Czech league doesn’t have a salary cap.

Edit: I’d also put Driedger leaving Florida at 99%.

I remember my first AGM team too. I got grilled by a few veterans that literally live on AGM. There's still some well educated, nice users in the AGM threads, but the people here in forums are all very nice and educated. You'll learn more in forums than in AGM to say the least.

Bear himself has much more value than Keith. Didn't they want the Jones brothers though?

I give you my first Armchair GM team. As you can see it is 100% bonkers, but I appreciate the people in the comments having some fun with it rather than tearing me to shreds.

Now that I look at it, it’s like if you started a franchise mode in the NHL games and didn’t care about any semblance or realism and went crazy.
