I was in the uneducated category when I first joined, but it seems like there's just no urgency to learn at times in the ACGMs. You see the same people posting the same crap and just lose your mind trying to explain the same thing over and over again. I feel like everyone who's ever stumbled into the forums and stayed, at the very least, has motivation to learn.

Yup, they were super educational, and it helped me look at other teams in better detail versus just looking at the team I cheer for

He will definitely become a strong goal scorer at least. Nice to see he is also starting a trend for the new motorbike helmets.

He's one of the most interesting players I've seen. His interviews are the best

I had already made a post about it before (“NBA Type Offseason”) but the NHL really is gonna have a unreal offseason.

Available Players Tier’d with odds of moving=
*quick rundown - Tarasenko is a extremely risky acquisition because it could bite the team acquiring him in the butt, he has potential overpay because some dumb gm may buy high*

Eichel - I’d say 90% he moves (medium risk, his neck) (overpay potential)

1st OA BUFFALO- not a player but 50% this moves

3rd OA ANAHEIM - not a player but 60% this moves

A Tier:
Evander Kane - 60% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Gaudreau - 50% he moves (low risk) (steal potential)
Danault - 50% he leaves MTL (only risk is overpay)

Malkin - 50% he moves (medium high risk) (overpay potential)

Hamilton - 65% he leaves CAR (only risk is overpay)
Laine - 50% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Reinhart - 70% he moves (low risk)

MA Fleury - 85% he moves (high risk) (overpay potential)

Kuemper - 65% he moves (medium risk)
McDonagh - 60% he moves (medium low risk) (steal potential)
10th OA SENS - not a player but 50% chance this moves

B Tier:
Stamkos - 35% he moves (very high risk) (overpay potential)
Brent Burns - 25% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Hall - 50% he leaves BOS (medium high risk)

Raanta - 85% he leaves ARI (high risk) (overpay potential)
Klefbom - 40% he moves (near extreme risk, retire potential)
Tuch - 60% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)

Hall and Krecji are not leaving. Krecji said he's either done playing nhl hockey or playing for boston. Hall forced his way to boston and Proposed to his wife in boston and is exploring boston rn

That sounds like San Jose v. Columbus for Wright.

or Anaheim

Well considering Bob Murray is trying to fast track this rebuild by being in on Dubois, and now Eichel, I wouldn’t be so sure about that.

Guys, come on.

Have you all forgotten about Taylor Hall?

If, Hall stays (which he probably will) Wright is going to be a Bruin. I guarantee it.

Imagine a contender signs him they miss the playoffs but get 1OA and draft Wright. Double edged sword rn considering these next 2 years are golden for the first OA pick

I dont think MTL right now is going for any big free agents as rn their team is set and they need to be aware of their cap space as their ELC's be coming up 1 by 1. That and his motives will get in the way.

Suzuki, Caufield, KK, Primeau, Romanov, Lehkonen, Evans

then you got big extensions for Danault

Also I was thinking Edmonton as a joke lul that puts them at 5 1OA picks in 12 years.

I've seen a few of Sharangovich's interviews and they're great, but you've gotta watch some of Lorentz. The guy always has a smile on his face, great funny guy, with very fluent and constructive speaking. He cudl really be a broadcaster or analyst if he wanted to lol.

This is my idea

The Canadiens have 15M in cap space this offseason with not too many free agents to resign

Send Allen to Seattle
Perry will be cheap (1M)
Lekhonen and Armia will get around 2M each
KK gets around 2.5 x 3
I don't see Danault, Tatar, Staal staying
Im guessing Merrill and Gustafson are gone
Sign Hall 7.5x7

Use remaining 2.5 for extra forwards and defense

Next offseason, don't resign Chariot and trade Drouin. Then sign Suzuki

Sorry if the contracts are off, im not a Habs fan

Armia would get more money and honestly I’d prefer Danault over Hall, we have lots of winger depth but not too much center depth

Danault is staying, and even on the minuscule chance he isn’t, he’ll need to be replaced by a centre, not a winger.

I've seen a few times where teammates have interrupted interviews, but that one was gold. Some players are just great at making interviews fun and interesting rather than being like "eh we were the better team, we played good, we won".

Not that anyone asked but if anyone was/did wonder/wondering about my expansion draft series, after my Columbus one I was told if I was gonna continue I should do it in the forums and considering how little people visit the forums that aren’t ones like this one or the playoff one, I decided it wasn’t really worth it to continue. Sorry to everyone who liked them and thank you to everyone who commented. The Seattle expansion draft is so much closer then it feels like I am SO excited

Friedman: So Philly wants to move on from Voraceck.

Good luck with that lul

If he was a center you could argue Voracek for Jones kind of deal

interesting thought I played with lastnight;

Voracek = term - meh, cap - meeeeeh not great, age considering the previous two - not great, play - decent/ good

so all things considered I dont see him returning PURE value/ return. BUT; with the latest SJS news.

san_jose_sharks.svg
Labanc
3rd (71st OA) or 4th (103rd OA)
(Maybe SJS adds a sweetner?)

for

philadelphia_flyers.svg
Voracek
1st (14th OA)

San Jose wants 2021 picks and players mainly. They want a trade with Labanc that helps present, or future OR both.

Philly moves JVR and JV for about 10m in cap relief (7 JVR, about 4 from JV & KL trade).

This allows Philly to actually still;

Contend with not losing two of their top 6 wingers, by gaining 1 new top 6 guy while also moving cap out. Not a concrete thought, but a good idea to consider I think.

The buyout window is now open. Who are you hoping your team buys out?

For me as a Canes fan it's definitely Jake Gardiner.

I believe that the season we're most likely going to get in 21-22, one in which the East is insanely strong and one while the west is much weaker is the absolute best argument to support something that IMO is basic common sense: delete divisions. Just pick the 16 best teams in the league and boom, here are your playoff teams. It's unfair to good teams that they don't get to make the SCP just because they play in the stronger division and/or conference.

For instance in 21-22 the 16 playoff teams could be, per division:
Pacific: Vegas and EDM
Central: COL, MIN and WIN
Metro: NYI, NYR, CAR, WSH, PIT and PHI
Atlantic: MTL, TBL, BOS, FLA and TML

So there you only have 5 western teams but this playoff format would be much more fair to everyone IMO.
Let me know what you guys think.

I’d place Dallas over Winnipeg, maybe not if they get a really good player in FA, but if not Dallas finishes 100% ahead of them.

After I joined these I went from dumb as f*ck to smarter about things like that. I’m still complaining about Blake Comeau from day 1 though.
