I had already made a post about it before (“NBA Type Offseason”) but the NHL really is gonna have a unreal offseason.

Available Players Tier’d with odds of moving=
*quick rundown - Tarasenko is a extremely risky acquisition because it could bite the team acquiring him in the butt, he has potential overpay because some dumb gm may buy high*

S Tier:
Eichel - I’d say 90% he moves (medium risk, his neck) (overpay potential)

1st OA BUFFALO- not a player but 50% this moves

3rd OA ANAHEIM - not a player but 60% this moves

A Tier:
Evander Kane - 60% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Gaudreau - 50% he moves (low risk) (steal potential)
Danault - 50% he leaves MTL (only risk is overpay)
Hyman - 90% he leaves TOR (only risk is overpay)

Kuznetsov - 80% he moves (medium risk) (overpay potential)

Tarasenko - 90% he moves (EXTREMELY risky) (overpay potential)

Seth Jones - 85% he moves (low risk) (overpay potential)

Malkin - 50% he moves (medium high risk) (overpay potential)

Hamilton - 65% he leaves CAR (only risk is overpay)
Laine - 50% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)
Reinhart - 70% he moves (low risk)

MA Fleury - 85% he moves (high risk) (overpay potential)

Kuemper - 65% he moves (medium risk)
McDonagh - 60% he moves (medium low risk) (steal potential)
10th OA SENS - not a player but 50% chance this moves

B Tier:
Stamkos - 35% he moves (very high risk) (overpay potential)
Brent Burns - 25% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Hall - 50% he leaves BOS (medium high risk)
Monahan - 50% he moves (high risk)
Giordano - 50% he moves (medium low risk)

OEL - 75% he moves (high low risk) (overpay potential)

Chiarot - 45% he moves (low risk)
Andersen - 60% he leaves TOR (medium risk) (steal potential)
Driedger - 90% he leaves FLA (medium risk) (steal potential)
Ullmark - 70% he leaves BUF (medium risk) (steal potential)
Raanta - 85% he leaves ARI (high risk) (overpay potential)
Klefbom - 40% he moves (near extreme risk, retire potential)
Tuch - 60% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Killorn - 50% he moves (low risk) (steal potential)
Palat - 65% he moves (medium risk)
Gourde - 50% he moves (medium high risk)
Goodrow - 70% he leaves TBL (low risk) (overpay potential)
Coleman - 70% he leaves TBL (low risk) (overpay potential)
Kessel - 50% he moves (medium risk)
Trochek - 60% he moves (pretty high risk)
Zucker - 50% he moves (medium low risk)
Strome (Dylan) - 50% he moves (medium risk)
Drouin - 85% he moves (very high risk)
JVR - 85% he moves (high risk)
Voracek - 60% he moves (medium high risk)
Olofsson - 60% he moves (medium risk) (steal potential)

C Tier:
Krejci - 65% he leaves BOS (medium risk)
Johnson (Tyler) - 90% he moves (high risk) (steal potential)
Risto - 60% he moves (high risk)
Gardiner - 60% he moves (high risk)
Myers - 60% he moves (high risk)
Holtby - 90% he moves (medium high risk)
Koskinen - 85% he moves (high risk)
Keith - 90% he moves (medium high risk)
Mrazek - 85% he moves (medium risk)

If you guys got any names I should add or that I missed (or criticisms) lemme know!

where would you put Henrique as Ducks want to move him before Seattle apparently.

Also I think JVR is medium risk. Lets say Philly retains some and he goes back to Toronto and puts up 40-50 points again with Matthews and Marner or JT and Nylander that aint bad.

He is a good net front presence on any PP and thats something I notice alot of teams need. Just not at that cap hit lul

I give you my first Armchair GM team. As you can see it is 100% bonkers, but I appreciate the people in the comments having some fun with it rather than tearing me to shreds.

Now that I look at it, it’s like if you started a franchise mode in the NHL games and didn’t care about any semblance or realism and went crazy.

Yeah, it's sort of like that. Sometimes with my AGM teams I just like to go crazy without a care. I'm thinking about starting to share my NHL franchise modes on AGM even though my teams can never win a cup. Most recently I made a Dallas Stars team with +3's for chemistry on each line (and one +5) , Hart and Vasilevskiy as goaltenders, and we made the cup finals two years in a row, both years losing to the Lightning in 7. AGM's are fun to make for sure especially when you can just go crazy with it.

That's really a GM mode thing lol, signing UFA and trading right away for good futures.

For the Canes we may protect Fast over Foegele depending on how much he wants and since we may trade his signing rights. Seattle also may take Lorentz instead of Skjei since there are already plenty of good defenseman available. Very good lists though as there are several different ways this could go. I may make my own predictions in a few days.

I didn't go through all of it, but MTL would protect Edmundson over Weber, and Washington Jensen/TVR over Dillon.

Montreal protects Edmundson over Chiarot/Weber, the other spot could be a toss up between Kulak and Weber/Chiarot

Apparently GMBT and Johnny Hockey are working on an extension. If he stayed what should the contract be? I am thinking 8x8

Too much term, 6 years max. I don't think he'll be aging well, considering his size

Also, GMBT would be foolish to extend him, a trade makes the most sense

BREAKING FROM KEVIN KURZ

“The San Jose Sharks are ramping up trade discussions with other teams, and winger Kevin Labanc is the most prominent name among the potentially available players, reports The Athletic's Kevin Kurz.

Forward Dylan Gambrell and defenseman Radim Simek have also reportedly been dangled as potential trade bait.

The Sharks would prefer to make deals that involve established NHL players on both sides but are open to gaining more picks for the upcoming draft, Kurz adds.”

Additionally we have the Kane rumours floating around with some more company.

Nah, that sounds like they’re in denial and don’t want to commit to anything, whether that’s a rebuild, retool, or winning now.

With CJ comments I seriously wonder is Labanc the Mystery player

cause rn through multiple looks so far based on all 4 requirements I got the potentials being

Labanc
Kane
Konecney
Dvorak

so far. There are others but I cannot see those teams moving them

For those who need it CJs requirements were

1. Someone who Leafs fans would be excited for (not an average joe so to speak)
2. Has multiple years left on his deal
3. Plays for an American team
and
4. That team did not make the playoffs

even if its just to distract us I dont mind it as its made my brain go nuts

Unless they sell some people, I don't think they'll be as bad as Columbus, Buffalo, or San Jose.

Well considering Bob Murray is trying to fast track this rebuild by being in on Dubois, and now Eichel, I wouldn’t be so sure about that.

I mean Anaheim really does not have anyone but Gibson who can prevent them from taking 1OA. Their overall numbers especially GF were abysmal. Henrique probs going to Seattle. Manson probs gets moved. Their captain probs going to another team (probs on like 750k depth deal) and all their stars be regressing in some way shape or form (Rakell and Fowler). They got Zegras and Drysdale to look forward to but not much else which is why Wright makes sense for them.

I see them probs winning #1OA unless they do go get Eichel then that goes out the window.

Cause when we look at Buffalo vs. Anaheim next year thats probs the battle for who gets 1OA unless Columbus sells everyone and decides Wright/Bedard or bust

Would be hilarious if SJ (a team desperately in need of right handed talent) moved their only 2 right handed forwards

He will definitely become a strong goal scorer at least. Nice to see he is also starting a trend for the new motorbike helmets.
