K so there is bigger news on the Winnipeg front. Apparently Winnipeg and Vancouver were trying to get a deal in place where Schmidt would go to Winnipeg and Demelo would go to Vancouver. Turns out Schmidt does not want to go to Winnipeg.

Now on that note one team having talks is Seattle. The deal would involve Dunn potentially. Wouldn't that be funny if Schmidt ends up on 2 expansion teams within the span of 4 years.

I'm late on the Schenn news, but losing that security blanket depth D on the right side is a blow. If he's moving into a full-time role with Vancouver though I wish him the best and will miss his gritty playoff performances.

I don't think Frank understands Dubas will not risk his job or MLSE's reputation by making a move like that. If anything Shanahan would cancel the deal before it was even signed. Dubas has avoided players with negative media attention on them in the past. I know for 1 year DeAngelo was a greyhound in his final OHL year but Dubas knows better. Plus with all the news stories that have come out I dont see Dubas even taking the chance even at league min.

It was bad but honestly his father ****ed up calling the security lady a liar. Matthews was ready to apologize to her but his dad ruined it making the event go public.

Deangelo on the other hand is an avid racist and toxic human being. Put him in a multicultural province like Ontario and yeah hes gonna need security wherever he goes.
