Reunite the Staal bros then bring in Marc Staal at the TDL after Tony D "doesn't work out"

There you go Waddell. I did your work for you.

You should have told him that when you met him lol

Also pls Bozak to Toronto reunion. Marner will be very happy

Wasn't Gusev drafted by Tampa but didn't play for them?

Yes but sadly he was traded to Vegas for expansion considerations. I.e. we give you this and you take this guy from us instead of that guy as such they took Garrison (old meh dman)

At league min he makes sense for Tampa as maybe playing with Kucherov and Point could awaken the beast in him could help rebound his NHL career.

Imagine Saros's contract if NHL voting hadn't been so rigged, he probably would have gotten 10m of he was nominated and won the awards that he rightfully deserved, win the vezina and get votes for the hart(maybe not top 3)

That's a pretty good idea

I could also see him in Minnesota

Minnesota I feel would look at Neal or Kahun. As despite the setback Neal is a cheaper Parise and Kahun can be good in the right setting as seen in Pittsburgh and Chicago.

Heck they may just sign Staal to come back and be their 3c moving Hartman to wing

Didnt Georgiev's trade request get denied or something by rangers management. I really dont think they want to move him as if Lundqvist suffers another heart issue that could spell trouble. I think he goes back to the Capitals.

Switch Galchenyuk and Bozak. Toronto already has a 3C, and Montréal has way too many wingers.

If the habs signed Galchenyuk, it would be as a Yannick Veilleux replacement. But IMO Gabriel Bourque is a good enough replacement, plus the AHL is a development league.

I’m sure there’d also be a bad team ( Houston or Buffalo ) that would maybe take a shot at his because why not

With Filppula and Helm gone, the Red Wings don't have any players left from their 2008 Cup roster.

I feel like hanging onto mediocre mid- to bottom-tier players for several years after they’re washed is not something to be happy about lol

This is completely off topic, but here goes

I was reading twitter yesterday and bumped into Gord Miller's tweet about poutine, a Canadian cuisine.

I, as an European, legit have never even heard of it.

I googled that it's basically fries with gravy and cheese.

Can anyone fill me in, why was such food invented, is it any good and is there some kind of special circumstance why or when people eat it? How popular is it?

It was invented in Drummondville, QC. It was popular back then to just eat fries and gravy, but some trucker had a special request and apparently asked to put in cheese curds, hence the name. It became huge and it's now widely considered Québec's #1 meal and has expanded across Canada and Florida where the snowbirds go.

Mathieu Joseph just ate it in the Stanley Cup.

JK, but for real it's delicious, you should seriously try it. If I could describe it in 1 picture I'd use this:

LMFAO

Brother you haven’t lived until you had real poutine.

Not cheese, cheese curds
Good gravy
Nice fries
Not from fast food/ restaurants but poutineries (it’s own thing)

Don’t even start about the kinds of poutines there are

was gonna put bozak to MTL during my predictions but I want Bozak to come home and retire a leaf.

Honestly I wonder if Bergevin goes and gets Brassard. He is a good 3c option, can win faceoffs and with wings like Anderson and Hoffman should do relatively well.
