People will say its an overpay, but Sakic needs to make an aggressive move to solidify the team as a contender. None of this Nemeth/Soderberg crap this year. Go all out. I mean, you already traded away your 1st, 2nd, and 4th this coming draft, no excuse not to full send.

Too much for Rakell alone, especially as a UFA. Not enough to get both as others have said and Getzlaf would likely have no interest in moving anyway.

That’s ridiculous. Getzlaf is down to the treads and Rackell isn’t the guy on a long term sweet deal anymore. No way in Hell the Avs do that.

Screw that you don’t give a premium prospect for 36 yr old and 28yr old pending UFA’s that neither are difference makers particularly on an Avs team.
