So per Friedman

Sharks willing to retain potentially up to 50% of Kanes salary to try and make a move happen with other teams

Still dont think he gets moved but man for a team wanting to compete thats tempting as a guy like him for 3.5mill is so tempting but is it worth the negative media attention...probs no

Hmmm... I don't think its a question of does he get an A it's a question of how would he not get an A. He's their best player and the youngest captain pretty much ever in the NHL

Nice! I like the list, I'd almost put Caufield in untouchable with where he is at right now. No chance you trade him, kind of like Mittelstadt for the sabres, he's good just needs time to prove out so his value is unknown but high enough to make him practically untradeable.

Posted about this a couple pages ago,

They’d also agree on adding assets for incentive (like picks/ prospects) but they don’t think the Sharks will include a first yet and we have to see if Kane even agrees to a AHL assignment (which Elliottes on idea is that will happen, not a guarantee tho).

Sharks have to announce a decision soon, they only got a few more days before Kane is literally/ officially back.

Honestly if it was not for the negative news outside the rink Toronto would probs make it happen as if there was a way to get kane for almost nothing with retention and maybe even find a way to send Ritchie the other way thats a deal and a half lul
